[up] That makes it sound even more like, to use Raineh's term, Sauron lite. Instead of actually using Sauron, you just use someone who has the same motivations as Sauron... yet isn't actually Sauron.

Name: Skullduggery Pleasant

Real Name: N/A

Gender: Male

Age: Over 400

Alignment: Hero

Appearance:http://skulduggery.wikia.com/wiki/Skulduggery_Pleasant

Personality: Is something of a dapper gentleman as well as a witty egotist, complimenting himself quite frequently as well as showing of his wit at every opportunity. Is always searching for clues.

Powers: As an elementalist, has control over all four of the 'classical' elements. Is very advanced in this respect. These include:

  • Flying and controlling air: can weave a barrier of air in an enemies path, blast them back, use the air as a powerful fist that can damage inanimate objects and deprive a person of oxygen.
  • Making a a spark, a flame, using his hands as twin flamethrowers and cause applications of heat.l
  • Breathing underwater, torpedoing in a body of water and being able to survive jumping of a cliff as well as drawing water from the moisture in the air.
  • Turning into stone for some time ranging from centuries to a few hours, having limited control over the earth.

Can also knit himself back together although the more damaged his bones are, the longer it takes. And if his bones are broken enough, his consciousness will eventually cease to exist.

He also has a Dangerous Forbidden Technique that makes him a powerful Necromancer, although he is mostly evil in this state and only uses this when it is absolutely necessary. Does this by summoning a suit of armor that stores the necromatic magic inside. His abilities in this state consist of:

  • Changing the physical aspects of his armor (making spikes appear and then recede etc.)
  • Using the shadows as spears and knives to rip through opponents with relative ease.
  • Short-range teleportation.
  • Flying on waves of shadows.
  • Creating undead beings that deteriorate as soon as it is day.

Abilities: Has skill in hand-to-hand combat, although fights in an undignified manner. Is proficient with firearms and a skilled swordsman. Also, being a detective, he is able to pick out key details and is a somewhat decent strategist

Weapons/Equipment: 2 .38 Smith and Wesson revolvers and ammo, he is also usually in a suit, tie, shirt and trousers.

Posessions: Has a house in Ireland and several cars stashed around Ireland. However he normally uses his 1954 Bentley R-Type Continental as a vehicle.

Origin: There may be spoilers in this for people who haven't read the last book.

  • Was a normal sorceror (albeit with a stutter) and did things normal sorcerors do until quite possibly the greatest elemental of the time launched a campaign to bring tyrannical gods into our world. The elemental was known as Mevolent and garnered a lot of support from like-minded people and people who were in awe of his power. However, they were also met with resistance and Skulduggery was one of the leaders of it and also the Dead Men, a group of sorcerors who were well-known for coming back from suicide missions alive, most of the time. Thus, a war started between Mevolent's allies and the resistance.

  • During the war, Skulduggery fell victim to a trap set by one of Mevolent's most trusted supporters and who was one of his general's in the war. The trap also claimed Skulduggery's wife and daughter. Skuldugerry was paraded and slowly burnt until he was a bag of bones. The bones were then stuffed in a bag and the bag was chucked into a river. However, due to some necromancy on the part of a necromancer, Skulduggery's conciousness still remained and he managed to knit his bones back together and become a one-of-a-kind skeleton. He continued to be a leader of the resistance, albeit with a hunger for revenge against Serpine, and was still part of the Dead Men.

  • However, some time after this, Skulduggery dropped of the grid and vanished at about the same time as Lord Vile appeared. This is because, Lord Vile was in fact Skulduggery, although it is a secret closely guarded from his friends. Lord Vile turned into one of Mevolent's three generals and killed thousands, maybe even millions, of people including powerful sorcerors and most notably, the mother of one of his best friends. Lord Vile wished for the Faceless Ones to come so that he would be able to kill a new level of opponent, gods. Fortunately, Skulduggery snapped out of it, rejoined the Resistance and the Dead Men as well as vowed to redeem himself. Eventually, the war was won and Mevolent was killed and the Sanctuary's (shadow of Governemnts of the magical world in control of the different countries in the world) began the process of cleaning up.

  • After the war was won, Skullduggery became a detective for the Sanctuary. At one point, his head was stolen by goblins while he was on an investigation involving missing gold (which goblins adore) and he won a new one in a poker game. After a friend's (Gordon Edgley) death, he decided to keep his friend's niece as his sidekick. With her, he managed to defeat the Faceless Ones again, stop the Necromancers from killing half of the world's population and several other things. Recently took part in the War of the Sanctuaries which resulted in his sidekick turning evil and gaining unimaginable amounts of power as all of the Sanctuaries started the process of recovering from the war. Is currently in Breacon City to follow some leads on finding his former sidekick and neutralizing her.

It'll give some interesting competition, I guess. Really, it depends on how limited his elemental control is, and it seems slightly more limited than actual bending by the description.

Actually, I kind of see bending as sort of limited.

You have to move your hands and body in order to control it, as opposed to controlling it with your mind.

I meant limited in the scope of what it can accomplish. Can Skullduggery create lightning, turn water to fog and ice, manipulate blood, or control metals?

Okay, -cracks knuckles- let's get to it!

@joergen: I'm gonna have to reciprocate the other player's feelings here, it feels like the One Ring is just tacked on there to make Sauron Lite. Everything else is there... I'm just iffy about the One Ring, the rest is completely fine.

@Ud: I know your sheet isn't done, and I already have many problems with the parts that are already there, but I'm gonna warn you: you better have a darn good origin story, because as it is, I have no desire to accept your sheet. (Note: for some reason, even with some of the weird stuff going down on Beacon City, I highly doubt they'd see a hedgehog and go "ok, you can DJ on my club". And, no, "it's a costume" is not a good excuse.)

@The Big Bean: Accepted. Does she have a gang?

@Fusionman: Rejected because his teacher is Pierce Brosnan. Just kidding, accepted. But I'd like if, before you brought in more stuff from Greek mythology or Camp Half Blood, you P Med me, as there are some DC characters who also use the Greek mythology. By the way, can you PM me what happens in his sixteenth birthday?

@Bacon: Okay, I'm gonna need some explaining. 1. since his body is, like you said, "a Play-Doh like substance", I think that there should be some nerfs to counteract the fact that he can just ignore any kind of damage, I don't want someone with Clayface's invulnerability. How about... he feels pain, so cutting some limbs off still hurts, and in extreme temperatures, he can 'freeze' or 'melt'? 2. The limited telepathic abilities, although minimal, still seem like too much considering all that he can do already, so I'd like it if you removed them. 3. What does 'hormonal' mean? 4. While Xavier's Institute is a thing in the Beacon Universe, the X-Men (and I'm taking a page from Lizard's book once more, thanks Liz) are not a thing, at least in the present. Basically, they were a team once, but they broke up and went on their separate ways, so, that last part about the X-Men needs to be removed.

@Paulie Romanov: Accepted. Don't see many problems with it.

@Lizard Of Aus: Accepted, and I trust you won't overuse Merlin's powers, right? Like, he won't abuse the spells, he won't disappear and reappear every second or it'll wear on him, he won't animate objects bigger than a washing machine... oh, and due to the turbulent nature of the times he's in, can we make it so that when trying to see events from the near future, they always keep changing, never giving him a pitch perfect image of what's going to happen or who's going to be involved on it?

@Scorpio Rat: Accepted. Do you mind if I control Tenzin? I know I said that if you mentioned someone on your backstory, you could control him, it's just that if you control Tenzin, your posts will be filled with conversations and... I think it'd be more interesting if I controlled him. You can still control Katara, though.

@Locoman: Rejected because THAT FAAAAACE. Just kidding. Again! Accepted.

@Raineh Daze: Okay, I got a lot of questions, but most of them are the word what being repeated over and over again. Eiji's story is just incredibly confusing. I mean, I don't really know what a Greeeed or a Core Medal is, or who Ankh is and how can he travel through time so it's ten times more confusing... top it all off with the fact that I think Eiji has too many combinations, and maybe, since he's searching for more power, it'd be interesting for him to start out with three and find out more later, but I'm so confused I don't even know how to phrase that suggestion in a way that doesn't sound like I slammed my head against the keyboard to make words. I... I just don't know how to say. Maybe try to change his origin, adapt it to the Beacon City universe, make it more understandable?

@Tricksen: .. who's Malevont? What war? When did this happen? First death? Sanctuary? Wasn't he Lord Vile? Goblins? He got his head back? Faceless Ones? When did this happen again? War of the Sanctuaries? What? How? Who?... I have no idea what you just wrote on your Origin section. Can you rewrite it while keeping in mind that not everyone read the books and you're gonna have to explain things in detail? The same goes for his dangerous forbidden technique.

Will probably post my sheet soon.

Don't worry, I won't spam the disappearing act, or animate objects too huge. The shapeshifting thing might be a little different, what with choosing different animal forms on the fly, but I could always slow it down by having him forget the right spell.

As for the near future thing, really, the only time he used that in the film was when he predicted Arthur dropping through the roof in half an hour's time. I think the best thing might be for any such events to be hashed out in PMs, so Merlin knows how he might first be dramatically introduced to someone very important. Other than that, I don't see it cropping up too often.

I promise to PM if I bring in anything else. Currently I'm only going with ambrosia and nectar for healing but only slight as too much makes you burn up and die as well as Iris messaging. He'll use the messaging to probably talk to some side-characters but I'll tell you their backstories and interactions as for time goes on.

Now what happens on the 16th birthday, I expect to instantly hear "Lol no" just when you hear the rhyming prophecy. Hence why I'm playing him before that and why I'm not expecting it in the RP.

  • Name: The Prince
  • Real Name: Naoto Shirogane
  • Gender: Female Passing as male
  • Age: 16
  • Alignment: Hero
  • Appearance: out of costume in costume, sans face
  • Personality: In an effort to live up to her family name, Naoto is a straight forward and serious person. She acts mature and tries to stay focused on her job. She hates being looked down on, and wants to be treated like an adult rather than a child. Because of this, and because she believes the police force to be a male dominated profession, she disguises her gender and pretends to be male. Thanks to her serious nature she can be easily flustered and embarrassed by personal things, and tries to avoid situations like that at all times.
  • Powers: Naoto's powers come from her ability to draw on a mysterious power and create a suit from no where. This suit is what gives her powers and lets her fight. She calls this her Persona.
    • Flight: The suit allows her to fly at a reasonable speed. She can't out speed a car, but she would be able to keep up with one for a burst to speed.
    • Light Powers: The suit allows Naoto to generate light and manipulate it to a degree. She can create blinding bright lights and burn people with flares of light.
    • Darkness Powers: Like light, Naoto can generate a bit of darkness for cover. It can be given physical properties so she could hit with blunt force from a range.
    • Enhanced durability: While wearing the suit, Naoto is able to withstand impacts she wouldn't normally be able to without harm. She would still be harmed by being run over, for example, but she can take punches better.
  • Abilities: Naoto is a pretty well renown detective, possessing a keen eye and sharp mind. She also keeps herself in a physically fit condition to compliment her work. Shes also not a bad shot with her pistol.
  • Weapons/Equipment: Nato carries a pistol with her at all times on the job for protection. While heroing she will have it, but won't be keen on shooting directly at people. She'll also have a beam sword that comes with her suit. It's odd in that it doesn't really cut, but it does hurt people that it comes in contact with. It also doesn't leave any marks.
  • Posessions: Thanks to being raised by her well-off grandfather, Naoto is staying in a rather nice home for the time being during her stay in America. She has access to fairly nice amenities, but sometimes opts for simpler things.
  • Origin: A native of Japan, Naoto never really knew her parents as the both of them died in a car accident when she was young. Shes been raised by her grandfather and his assistant for as long as she could remember. She did grow up hearing stories about their accomplishments in crime solving. She came from a decently long line of detectives, something she felt proud of. She wanted to be like them. Even at a young age she would read crime novels and come with her grandfather when he would work on a case. Becoming a detective had become her dream.

There was a problem though, as all the novels had male protagonists. When she would watch her grandfather at work, he primarily worked with men. That clicked in the young detective's mind. As she grew up she started thinking that women were looked down upon in the police force. She didn't want to be looked down on, she wanted to be treated as an equal. Thus started her strategy of hiding her gender. When in public she would deepen her voice and act masculine. It worked for the most part, she still found herself being looked down on for her age.

No body could dispute her results though. As Naoto got older her grandfather started including her in his investigations. Several of them she managed to solve by herself. She earned a name for herself as "the Detective Prince". Her grandfather often traveled to various countries and took Naoto with him, hoping to spread her knowledge about differing countries. On one of these journeys, Naoto found she developed strange powers she didn't have. She noticed it during an excursion to America, but as she tried to trace her steps her memory would get foggy. It always got like that when she tried to think back to Beacon City. She decided to start an investigation there to figure out where this came from, using the excuse of aiding the local police with various investigations. Also, maybe do some heroing on the side, inspired a bit by American comics.

I'll try and break this up, then? XD

  1. Core Medals: the medals used to transform. They're the colourful ones. Literally, they're the crystallised abilities and desires of species or... something. The grey ones (Cell Medals) are human desire. Most of those are actually movie-exclusives, the rightmost three columns are those that appear in the series.
  2. Greeed: A being made of these medals. The Core Medals are what make them 'complete' as a person (once they get all 9—there's three copies of each), whilst Cell Medals make up their body/HP. When complete, they're enormously powerful (one of them, for instance, could turn anything—people included—into a pile of Cell Medals with a touch)
  3. Ankh is this fabulous entity. He's one of the Greeed, but was on Eiji's side for most of the series. And kind of died at the end. Future-tech was involved in arriving from the future.
  4. The problem with less combos is how many other things that draws in. This ties with the last bit—if I modify the origin so that it's not just 'Kamen Rider OOO happened', it draws in four villains, a second character, the Kougami Foundation (because that is the entire source of this stuff), means Eiji doesn't even want that much, and in general causes more headaches. Oh, and it comes pre-Super Mode, which has its own attendant headaches. x_x
Just removing a few bits of the combos would work, but that then leads to needing to work out how it happened... and also work out who has them and how to get it back. XD

And now, the very short version of Kamen Rider OOO:

  • Eiji accidentally broke the seal on the Greeed. This also let him become Kamen Rider OOO.
  • Kept fighting them (and the monsters of the week they created)
  • Got rid of a few.
  • New villain!
  • Super Mode
  • Defeated Greeed are back!
  • Started permanently killing some of them
  • Finale, Greeed finally defeated.

And then the thing to do with Ankh and time travel (be glad this is the only relevant Movie, the other two that actually work in canon heavily involve it):

  • Kamen Rider from the future attacks!
  • Medals from future arrive
  • Guy from future defeated

The Greeed were made by the alchemists of a European king in the 13th century. Well, the Core Medals were—they were made in sets of ten. By removing the 10th medal, the sets were incomplete, and because they're literally made of desire came to life because they want to be complete. That's where the Greeed came from. Now, this King also had the OOO Driver made. Stuff happened, but eventually he tried to absorb all of the medals... and in doing so killed himself, and sealed the Greeed and driver for the next eight centuries.

The Kougami Foundation is... a company. It dug up this stuff. It makes a bunch of things powered by Cell Medals† , and its boss wants to further humanity through human desire. It was when he was working as a security guard for them that Eiji broke the seal. Which was what Kougami wanted to happen anyway.

Movie-exclusive basically means they only showed up in movies. The reptile medals make perfect sense in normal canon, but they never showed up again, so they'd need to be found anyway. Super TaToBa is basically another Super Mode, but... I still need to work out why Eiji doesn't have those medals, other than the fact it is a horrible eyesore. Then there are things like the rider medals, imagin medal, shocker medal... that all only actually make sense within limited parts of the movie and don't exist by the end of it anyway.

More or less, there's four movies heavily involving OOO, the first one doesn't make sense so is generally ignored; the second introduces the Shocker and Imagin medals and then gets rid of them; the third has the Reptile medals; and the final one has the Rider Medals and Super TaToBa.

There's also a few random medals that they listed online and made a few videos for but don't actually correspond to anything in any media. @_@
