Aight then. I think that should be fine. Sorry for being harsh mate, it's just that immortality in an RP is always tricky to deal with in general.

But what Taco said, if it is capable of being destroyed in one go (like from something like Excalibur) then I think it'll work just fine as well. To be fair, I'll let him have A-rank Strength with Mad Enhancement active. How does that sound for you P Blades?

Also, sorry for the late reply. Woke up way late from a nap. Was tired as shit today.

Sure, no need for apologies. Vetting abilities in R Ps is just a reasonable thing to do in general.

To be honest, I don't see him surviving past the preliminary stage of the game, at any rate. Again, I wanted him to go complete Midboss-esque.

I shall put this here for Consideration.

  • Name: Minotaur of the Maze

  • Appearance:something like this

  • Class:Beast

  • Master: up for grabs

  • Personality: A being beyond the power of rational thought doesn't have much of a personality it can express; however- it is probably the most lonely individual you could ever come across. Locked up from birth in the most complex maze EVER MADE, all he ever did was serve as a purpose for getting rid of people the local king didn't like. Thus the beast has come to develop an extreme hatred towards the human race. To be fair, he was born from human. However loneliness does play a huge part in this- he both longs for company and hates humans for locking him up- I hope to balance out those two aspects.

  • Parametres:
    • Strength:A
    • Endurance:B
    • Agility:B
    • Magical energy:E
    • Luck:E
    • Noble Phantasm:A

  • Class Skills:
    • Mad Enhancement: A

  • Personal skills:

    • Innocent monster:B
    • Monstrous strength:B

  • Noble Phantasms:

  • Cretan Labyrinth, Asterion's prison-Rank A Anti unit

A bounded field is created wherein the victim finds himself trapped inside the creten labyrinth- the most complex maze to ever exist. Here, the Minotaur will lie in ambush for the hapless servant and temporarily gains Presence concealment D rank. Apart from this, the bull holds no advantage apart from maybe dealing with a slightly lost servant. The reality marble is fueled more by the master than the servant therefore the reality marble does not have a long duration (5 posts?). Remember that the Minotaur can materialise anywhere when not engaged in combat and also that its rather dark, dank and foggy inside the maze.

  • Monster of Crete- the fear that kills-Rank D+: anti unit

It a huge axe that represents the Minotaur's sinister reputation and the dread of him that falls on those thrown into the labyrinth. The Axe is black and shadowy- like Fate Zero Beserker (only this is an Axe and not a servant). I would like it so that people could not see the rank of this Noble Phantasm, if that means anything. This Noble Phantasm is lowered in rank whenever faced with someone with the Charisma skill.

You have my interest as well. Expect a Master from me as soon as I chop down that creative block with my grinding axe.

EDIT: Done.

  • Name: Mihael Donovich
  • Alias: Doesn't have one.
  • Age: 19
  • Gender: Male
  • Nationality: Born in 'murrica, even though his parents are from Poland.
  • Race: Hewman
  • Appearance: Mihael is athletic, tall and lean, reaching 1,85m (not sure how to convert this to feet, sorry) the last time he measured himself. A small portion of his face near the nose is covered with freckles, which are easy to spot because of his light skin; his long, sand blonde hair reaches the middle of his neck and almost covers his ears. He is usually seen wearing a white T-shirt with black engravings in the middle and black pants.
  • Personality: Mihael comes off at first as rude and a bit anti-social, minding his own business and leaving others alone. He is also informal, using slangs and the like, and he loves to curse when something goes wrong. Most of the time his impulsive nature gets the best of him, dragging him into unpleasant situations. Speaking about unpleasant situations, Mihael at least is good at dealing with these, being a street smart and quick thinker. Oh, and he's known for his Genre Sawwyness and won't stand dumbfolded while a minotaur swings a huge axe toward him, thinking it surely must be an illusion.
  • Occupation/Job outside the war: Works part time and attends his university at morning.
  • Weapon: A pocket knife, if the need arises. He's also got a pistol at home, given to him by his family.
  • Abilities: Mihael may have little access to magic, but he compensates by using mundane methods. A swift punch to the face often works, and so does a bullet to the face. Magic is for lesser men.
  • Strengths and Weaknesses: He is perfectly capable of facing two or more foes alone, being a streets smart person, and he also knows when to run away and how to evade being caught. He also knows his way in a fight, and can pack quite a punch. Magic just isn't his forte, though.
  • History/Background: Mihael comes from a family that lost a big portion of their powers a long time ago. In fact, his magical affinity is so insignificant that his parents, which had little magical potential as well, gave up on passing their magical crest to him. Yet one day they received a call from the Holy Grail itself, an invitation to the war that will come, breaking their magi masquerade when his parents approached him and called their son to participate in the war. Mihael knew from the 19 years dealing with his old man that he'd insert his sister in this mess should he refuse, so he had no choice but to agree to fight for them and win the Holy Grail, because it would supposedly be able to restore their family's honor.
  • Assets:
    • Mihael has rented a cheap apartment on Kenerem for the sole purpose of participating in the war. He prefered this over renting an hotel room, as he guessed other Masters would do the same. That's pretty much everything.
    • His family's Magic Crest. His ability to use magic is little, but he's still able to use the most basic skills.

Alright, Master idea is kinda like Apocrypha's Wolf.

That is, I wanted a magic dog to summon a Servant. Would that be cool with you? Figure I should ask first because it's so out there.

The Minotaur and Mihael Donovich are both accepted.

As for a magical dog Taco, I'm curious on what you have in mind... The idea itself completely fascinates me, since it's something I don't think has been done before, but I'm just wondering how you're going to go about executing it?

A few ideas, and they might all work;

The escaped science project of a mad scientist type Magus

A familiar that gained a fully physical form

A dead Magus's beloved dog and the inheritor of his Crest, granting him intelligence and magic.

Constants across all of these would be a leash as his Mystic Code, whose collar studs can store Mana and Formalcraft, and whose lead can whip around like an extra appendage and weapon, or separate its woven fibers to act as a set of ad-hoc vocal chords.

  • Name: Merlin
  • Alias: Dogstoyevsky
  • Age: 3
  • Gender: M
  • Nationality: Legally, dogs don't get citizenship. He was born in a box behind a Kenerem bistro, does that count?
  • Race: wow such dogeAustralian Sheepdog
  • Height/Weight: 3 feet tall, about 150 pounds.
  • Appearance: Unusually large for his breed, Dogstoyevsky is a well-kempt Australian Sheepdog. He has those creepy green people eyes all the other sheepdogs have out there. His command seals manifested in his fur, three claw-like streaks down the back of his head.
  • Personality: Merlin is a hyperintelligent sheepdog, as intelligent as any 20-something human. In the wake of his transformation, he has kept some parts of Dogness while rejecting others. He's fiercely deterministic, believing that we are what we make ourselves to be. Bullies, people who try to exert control over others' lives, are the worst kind of people. He understands the value of a little kindness, up to and including not killing someone because they gave him a good tummy rub once. He sees his old Master as a paragon of indefatigable virtue; he wants to bring him back to life with his wish. If the utter destruction of the bastards that killed his Master the first time happens to be a side-effect, even better.
  • Occupation/Job outside the war: Professional pet; between employers.
  • Weapon:
    • 「The Leash」 is Merlin's primary tool. It is, well, a leash, with matching collar. The studs in the collar can hold a modest amount of Prana, or can store charges of Formalcraft. The leash itself is a cord woven of multiple different fibers, absurdly strong despite superficially resembling nylon. When the collar is attached to the leash, whoever wears the collar can magically manipulate the leash, whipping it around with the force of the average python or using it to pick things up and move them around. The leash can also separate its fibers and act as surrogate vocal chords—useful when you're a dog.
  • Abilities:
    • Merlin is a dog, and he's really big. He can knock a grown man off his feet and crunch bones with his jaws, and get a scent off someone to track them. As his magical systems are all artificial, he also has a reduced magical presence. That, and people are just naturally less likely to suspect the dog of being the Master.
  • Strengths and Weaknesses:
    • Merlin is great at Formalcraft, preparing spells ahead of time and putting them into the studs on 「The Leash」, but any sort of on-demand Magecraft is totally beyond him.
  • History/Background: Born in a box behind a bistro, Merlin was named and adopted by an enterprising Magus who wanted to see if he could teach the art of Magecraft to a dog. Imagine that guy's surprise when he found out that this dog, Merlin, was also a great companion, a constant ally against the despair that would stop someone cold without a friend to confide in. Merlin and his Master talked late into the night, the dog only vaguely comprehending what was going on the whole time. He understood that his Master wanted to make him strong, but that big people who bossed little people around wanted him to stop it. That was reason enough to believe in his Master. Master saved him from adoption, gave him a home and food! So when the procedure to finally install a framework of Magic Circuits, a Mystic Code, and a Magic Crest, Merlin went willingly. However, just as the procedure finished and he awoke to see the world with new eyes, a pair of Enforcers broke into the apartment. The Master hid Merlin, but sacrificed his life to do so. Whimpering in a closet, cowering and rapidly coming to understand how horrible the world really was, Merlin met a messenger from the Overseer and gained a vicious sense of revenge. A few weeks of research and preparation later, and Merlin knew how he was going to get his Master back: the Holy Grail.
  • Assets:
    • Merlin has a copy of his Master's Magic Crest, a reduced form of the real thing that grants him the basic skills any Magus has—reinforcement, bounded fields, etcetera, along with the more specialized knowledge of Formalcraft.
    • Merlin stole a K9 Unit kevlar vest awhile back, a standard issue law enforcement Glock with spare clips, and a car with some keys when he found out he'd been picked by the Grail. He lives in his owner's old apartment, which has a few months of rent left and ready to pay, a bank account with enough money to keep him going, and a couple bags of dog food.

This has no bearings on anything whatsoever, and no potential for any kind of ramifications, but how do Merlin responds to dog puns?

I'm most justifiably and innocently asking in pursuit of a higher, purer noble cause that is Science, and have no hidden agenda.

On the magi society, nobody knows you're a dog. Nobody.

And you surprise me again. That's more awesome and crazy than the bumquest RP.

You also reminded me that I forgot to mention my char got his family's Magic Crest. I'll edit right away.

Dog puns: fall off a cliff.

Bumquest: I was actually thinking of plagiarizing reviving that RP. Stay tuned on that front. And, in case it wasn't clear, the Mage's Society does know he's a dog; his Master was killed, yeah, but they never found his research. Any Masters that acted as Enforcers at least a few years ago would probably know of Merlin, though maybe not immediately recognize him immediately.

Also, what is this bumquest I'm hearing of?

There was an Aninesque RP awhile back in the vein of Blazblu or RWBY. Everyone has cool magitek gear—Talru—that grants them fantastic powers as they battle it out against the Man. However, me and two other players decide to just have BUMQUEST: three homeless men with Talru looking to get food and a warm place to stay, completely oblivious to the epic battles going on not two blocks away.

Actually, the RP was based on this manga: http://mangafox.me/manga/akame_ga_kiru/ And this is the thread: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13560448420A26092400

Then Taco subverted the whole shounen adventure by playing as a bum and started a quest of his own with some other player, who happened to be playing as a wanted criminal IIRC.

Some people see connections between Arminius and this guy. Honestly, through, I'd say either Archer or Assassin. He's most well known for betraying the Roman Empire and leading it into one of its most well known ambush.

He'd definitely qualify for Rebellious Spirit, through.

Yo

Sorry that I haven't been around for like a month or so. Finals and all the last minute projects at my school kind of had me in a tough bind, and I honestly lost track of time, and that this existed.

Simple terms, I'm kind of checking in to see if anyone is still interested in this, and to raise new interest if possible.

Sweet! Nice to hear that I still have some people still interested in this.

I don't have any big/demanding plans in the near future, so my availability and free-time are out of the roof. I'll give this another day or two to gauge interest levels before I decide what to do with this.

In the mean-time, feel free to post any Sign-ups, questions, or concerns. I do know I kind of disappeared for like a month or two, so yeah, sorry about that (shouldn't ever happen again with how relaxed my schedule is now).
