Please read How To Pick A Good Image. That doesn't make sense if you aren't familiar with Star Trek. The page image is not just a place to put an example above the example line.

I have read it, but the caption links to the inhabitants on the other wiki.
However, I just realized that may be some kind of watermark in the lower left corner anyways, so this is a moot-point.

That's not a watermark in the lower left. It's the logo of a publishing company and it ok. A watermark is across the main image. That's the same as a TV station "bug" — acceptable.
