Well, they're certainly a trope. They're either invoked by a Stock Pose or a garment style.

Sideboob is certainly not a trope. However, there may be some trope associated it with.
I mean, Bob Haircut isn't a trope. Blue Jeans isn't a trope. We need to note something about media portray the feature to make a trope out of it.

Well, there's the fact that it's a fairly inconspicuous way of showing breasts. Further, it can be combined with Boob And Butt Pose in order to show off more of the woman's body.
There's probably a lot more on its usage in modelling notes and procedures.
