hmm... I've never played it, though maybe I've ran into a cabinet on one of my arcade hunts.
How does it play?
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Touchscreen interface, and you have to do things like holding, sliding, or simply pressing 'buttons'.
The PSP versions (i.e. DJ Max Portable) obviously have no touchscreen, so it plays like a typical rhythm game like Dance Dance Revolution there.
I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.Nice. I'd really like to hunt down a cabinet now. Maybe somewhere in LA.
Edit: Silly, Schitzo, that's not an arcade game XD

Played the arcade Technika once, and got trounced by The Clear Blue Sky (why did I even pick that song for my first attempt?). In full view of every damn person behind me. That was embarrassing.

Give the God Eater game thread some love!Eeeehhh what happened exactly? The first post in that thread you linked mostly talked about the "apparent" happenings.
I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.Well the official Facebook page is dead (originally it seems to be given to a fan, now it's inaccessible), that's for sure...
Give me cute or give me...something?jesus, no replies in three years? i get that music games are a niche thing, but damn...
anyway, i got DJMAX Respect a few days ago. someone on Reddit mentioned that Neowiz doesn't even have a publisher yet for the NA and EU versions, so i got the game on the Hong Kong PSN. don't want to go through a long wait only to find out the game became vaporware overseas.
most of the new songs are pretty good. they also seem to be holding true to their word of representing every game in the series as DLC, with the first one being DJMAX Trilogy (i personally was never able to play that one) and the second one representing Metro Project (Clazziquai Edition/Black Square).
Mission Mode has some shenanigans i wasn't expecting, like turning the gear sideways and filling up the whole screen with it like a smartphone, a mission where you play against an AI opponent that max combo's every song, and the very last mission having an XB (10 buttons) song.
weaponizing Dungeon Fighter Online elitism since 2018some details about the 2nd DLC for DJMAX Respect have been announced yesterday, here's a video (Korean only):
long story short, most of the Clazziquai Edition songs will be returning (key word being most - the non-Clazziquai licenses from Garion and Cooly's Hot Box are notably missing), plus one new song for Respect itself, one new gear skin (which is weird, considering there's a CE-themed gear skin already in the base game), and one new main menu skin (presumably CE-themed). DLC is priced at 19,800 won (roughly US$18).
also, surprisingly, they're planning on more collab songs past the Guilty Gear Xrd ones. they mentioned Brown Dust (from what i gather on Google, it's some obscure Korean-only Android MMO) and Girls' Frontline.
