There's also the 2DS, which is cheap and... well, doesn't have 3D.
I'd try to try out a 3DS and an XL however you can- chances are, a demo unit. Does the 3D give you headaches or no? Is portability a factor? Is the normal 3DS too small, or is the XL too big?
Ask yourself these questions.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaEventually when I received an ad for the 3DS XL Zelda Edition, I decided to get my ass off my chair and simply go into a videogame store to compare sizes.
Turns out it's not that bigger encumbrance-wise, so I'll probably take it.
Thanks for your answer.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Also, as I understand it, the XL has substantially better battery life, so there's that.
I can remember the shoulder buttons of my vanilla 3DS wearing out after less than seven months of having one. My XL's shoulder buttons are still doing just fine.
There's really no contest. The XL is completely worth the extra money.
"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!"Thanks. So the Zelda edition apparently only existing in XL is a good thing after all.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Not to mention the extra size of a XL can be great for people like me (I'm 6'3" and my hands certainly match my height; a normal 3DS is simply too small for me.)
Curse the ill fortune that led you to me.
Hello, I've been playing with a DS Lite for years and I'm thinking of upgrading to a 3DS this Christmas season. But now I have to choose between big and small.
Is the 3DS XL really worth the additional 30€ and encumbrance?
