So, it's a bit stale, but I was hoping there were enough symphonic metal fans on here to hold a discussion on the new line-up - the permanent additions of Floor Jansen and Troy Donockly(sp?). Part of me is beyond excited because the music will definitely take a huge upswing in quality (coming from a big fan of Imaginaerum, that gives me butterflies in my stomach ), but I'm also worried about Floor's workload, as she has another band she fronts and Nightwish is a big thing to take on...but more to the point I think, Tuomas seems to have an iron grip on the music for the most part, and I'm not sure how it's a good idea to match him with someone with such a great deal of experience as Floor. Maybe I'm over thinking it (probably am) but I've been under the impression that the band would do better to take a talented newcomer and mold her into the Nightwish style. No clash for creative control that way...
