Suggestion: Author Appeal

That's a good idea. I took a look, but I'll have to make an analysis later.

I'm hesitating to upload any of the images for the sandbox article, in case it doesn't pan out.

I like most of them, but the Doctor Who one is pretty lame. I'd suggest this◊ or a crop of this◊ instead.

That's actually worse somehow and I'll have to say, I'm actually against using a lampshade of any kind for this trope because it's sniffing our own butts for lack of a better term.

Also out of interest, why are we image picking for something which is pretty clear about no images?

You can tell we love lampshades by the fact that there's a lampshade in our logo.

That, and Lampshade Hanging is one of our signature tropes.

About the commented-out note stating that we mustn't have images, as far as I know, it's to stop fellow tropers from adding a image without prior discussion in Image Pickin, as the nature of the trope means that it's difficult to find what we consider a good picture for the trope.

I know, I still don't think it's a good example regardless of what it means to the site. I'll wait on what Willbyr reports back, not quite an admin note but it sounds like no quotes nor images are wanted.

If it weren't for that note, I would have started a thread a while ago with a ssuggtion. The folder idea is clever, but I see it's potential to confuse. I don't see anything wrong with a straight traditional image. If we go that route, I'd suggest a collage of flying things from Miyazaki's films.

Alright, the clock's up, there's really not enough consensus to go with the concept, and I never got a reply back on my question, so I guess this is kinda moot. Locking up.
