Heroes of the Storm - Blizzard MOBA

Someone made Lego Heroes of the Storm.

According to a thread on Reddit, a korean page gave hints that the next hero is a Protoss.

And it's very likely that it will be Fenix. Blizz trying to make up for "Assasins of Warcraft"?

Fenix the Dragoon, ranged warrior, would be pretty great.

Especially since we only have one and a half ranged warriors right now, and one is more of a support.

And this is why you never take that talent as Alarak.

God that Chromie.

So the next hero is due to be announced this friday in a Starcraft tournament.

Fenix sounds likely.

It could be anyone, but if it's from Starcraft, I think with the release of Lucio, Arcturus Mengsk can be a better thematic release:

• He's already on the ideas of Blizzard
• If he's in, he's going to be a more unique character like 'Someone who can't attack but manipulates the battlefield like Abathur, just Terran style'
• Arcturus is probably the closest you will get for an 'oppressive government figure with a face' as a counter part to Lucio's enemy Vishkar. If its CEO is to be unveiled in Overwatch, I'm gonna bet it's an Arcturus Expy. So yeah... why the hell not. Arcturus doesn't like rebels either even if he started out as one.

Reddit seems to be expecting Samir Duran, based mainly on those zerg eggs in the Where's Valeera thing a while back.

Have you noticed how they changed the default colour tint of the Novazon skin?

Could that mean that Amazon is coming later down the line or is even the next hero? We could use more Diablo II representation besides Xul....

In any case, the next hero surely is something tied to Diablo. We hadn't had a Warrior since Zarya (Varian can be an assassin), i guess another Diablo warrior won't hurt. Here you could use Imperius or even Aidan as the Dark Wanderer.

I'm hoping for Baal and/or Mephisto. Maybe even Duriel.

Someone on Reddit suggested that they announce Baal, skip the PTR for him, and then, when you boot up the game on Baal's release day...

Ah, that would be fantastic. And we're only a couple months away from April first!

I decided to go ahead list the heroes I think might need to be reclassified (assuming no reworks to said heroes come about) and why, and see what you all think.

• Nazeebo: Specialist -> Assassin - Nazeebo was probably originally a specialist just so there would be a Diablo specialist, since Xul and Azmodan weren't out yet. Kit-wise, nothing about him is particularly difficult or unique, so I say make him what he is - just another assassin.
• Tassadar: Support -> Specialist - With the reworking, he just no long has healing capabilities outside of very specific team comps, and his lane push potential is much better than your average support. Coupled with the nature of his basic attacks (little damage but auto slow), and you have a good candidate for a specialist. Yeah, it leaves Starcraft with only one support character, but that's better than mislabeling one that's not fit for the category.
• Sonya: Warrior -> Assassin - I don't expect people to complain much about this. Sonya's ability to initiate fights or tank damage is limited, and she's overdue for this move. She may be big, and may be beefy, but she's still capable of wrecking stuff in the right situation.
• Ragnaros: Assassin -> Specialist - This is the one I expect people will be most caught off guard by, but hear me out. Ragnaros is an melee assassin whose lack of mobility and relative squishiness make it difficult to reliably commit to melee. The key is many of his abilities offer unique utility at range; meteors are great poke tools and his Blast Wave is just as useful for the extra mobility you can give to other heroes as it is for the damage, if not more. Combined with his unique Molten Core trait that allows him to protect a fort or use an enemy one to help push forward or hurt the enemy team...he's very much on the boundary between Specialist and Assassin, and I think a move to the latter would help clarify his playstyle a bit more. It's a bit of a stretch, but not a much as leaving some of the other examples on this list where they are.
• Zarya: Warrior -> Specialist - Bubbles for everyone! The energy mechanic coupled with the ability to shield allies is definitely outside "normal" gameplay. Couple it with the fact that she doesn't really fit in among standard warriors, and isn't enough of a healer to act as support (like Tassadar), specialist is the better place for her. If they really want an Overwatch warrior, bring us Winston or Reinhardt, they'll do the job.

So, thoughts on whether I'm right, wrong, left?
