God's sake, is it really that hard to play ONE quick match with everyone actually playing, not going AFK at the start of the match? I'm goddamn tired of it.
Oh God, the one about the Stormwind Park being a calming place for him.
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen. The Nexus Challenge is live (in the Americas, anyway).
If anyone wants a game with me, my Battletag is Maple Samurai#1109.
Varian is live, too. Looks like I was right, his status as tank or DPS is determined by talents, specifically his level ten talents, of which he has three. (Two choices of ult, one passive. All have passive aspects to them.)

If you want to group with me, PM me. (I promise I'll respond to friend invites, unlike who isn't around to accept my request... )
Also, I am ultimately disappointed with Varian, since the trailer did kind of sell him as something other than what he is.

Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)His DPS spec is impressive. In the "try out" map, after doing his three quests I managed to solo the boss.
Just had a Brawl game where the temples never activated in round two. It was 12 minutes in when I quit.
@Totemic: Just accepted it. Sorry, I'm not usually logged on if I'm not already playing a game.
"It's not a MOBA, it's a Hero Brawler!" note
Patch dropped today. Of note:
- More Samuro nerfs (lighter this time)
- Zeratul buffs (but Mending Strikes nerf)
- Some Varian changes (buffs to some builds, nerfs to others)
- Li-Ming's Calamity talent (lvl 7) no longer damages minions
- Buffs for Nazeebo's Corpse Spiders and related talents
- Increase to Falstad's and Brightwing's z-ability cooldowns (to 55s each)
Kind of telling I never took Calamity as Li-Ming anyway, mainly because I found sitting back with orb build and nuking everything to be much more effective. (Seriously, you REALLY wanted to put the squishiest assassin in the game in close range with enemy heroes?) Proper positioning will allow your orb to do pretty nicely on waveclear while still hitting enemy heroes hard.
Also, they changed Varian the day I got him. So nerf to fury (dual wield assassin), buff to protection (shield warrior), arms (single sword assassin) stays roughly where it was.

Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)By the way, Ragnaros is available on the PTR now. That lava wave ult is one of the most game-changing ones around.
When playing Gazlowe for quest credit against the AI, it becomes REALLY easy to know who hasn't played with/alongside Gazlowe before - they try to help you take merc camps.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)It's supposed to be a WoW video, but it's basically half-and-half.

Ragnaros patch is live, along with the Winter Veil event.
Well, I logged in, and I got the season mount award automatically (but not the portrait). So...okay?
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)There are two seasonal mounts. The treasure goblin (which you get automatically) and the snowflake (which you get by doing 25 matches along with the portrait).
This song needs more love.Ah okay, makes sense.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)I don't think that's quite right. The snowflake is only in the bundle. It looks like there are two goblins: the Festive Goblin and Festive Treasure Goblin. The second one is the one you get for the 25 games.
Does Ragnaros' hammer stay after his death and have sparkles constantly rising up from it?
Because it should
Okay, I've figured it out: There is really only one goblin mount. It's a "rental" for the duration of the event, but complete the quest, and you get to keep it afterwards.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)It also happens to be among the funniest mounts in the game.
It bugs me that it's impossible to see all of Zeratul's dance while he's uncloaked.
Now that I think of it, every MOBA have had their own twin axe throwers/fighters. Troll Warlord, Draven, Ullr (if he's in axe mode) and if true, then Zul'jin is gonna be the next one (Rexxar might count if he actually uses his axe more than just normal attacks, his skills revolve more about controlling Misha).
I wonder if this means this is gonna be another Archetype? But I really wouldn't call it an archetype if all the similarities are just the weapons.

I wonder what incarnation of Zul'jin we're gonna get - hopefully it's the old Zul'jin, not whatever they did to him in Burning Crusade (not that he actually was wrong about what he said).
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.
Varian poke quotes are out.
And he finally points out it's absurd to have him a Warrior Legendary in Hearthstone while the default Warrior is... Garrosh.
