Lately Blizzard has been having spiky latencies in their network. This is for both HOTS and Diablo, as far as my experience goes.

I recommend that we lay off playing Blizzard games for a bit. Just a few hours, I hope.

Well that's decided. I'm never playing again when Nova is part of the weekly free hero rotation. So many bad Novas everywhere, make it stop

Clearly the answer here is to play Nova yourself.

So with Greymane out, i'm kinda dissapointed with him. He is super squishy without much sustain and he doesn't deal enough damage to guarantee his low healthpool.

At least he has a cool mechanic (?)

I'll be honest. I kinda took a break from HOTS these days except to go back and grab that sweet 2200 G from Cho'gall, because... well the Blizz Con reveal heroes doesn't seem to interest me much. But now that Greymane is out, I can once again hope one of the characters in my list get announced. Then I can be happy and full of hype again.

It is very likely that after 3 Warcraft heroes then the other two franchises might get a rep soon. My money is on the Diablo's Wizard.

And did we have themed updates before? I think there was the one where we got 4 diablo heroes right?

If we happen to have a themed update next month, i want to be fire related because there could be very interesting. Ragnaros or the Firebat could be awesome choices for heroes IMO

I can't predict Blizzard in any way now. Still, if you're looking for a monthly theme... well next month is February, we'll be seeing Valentine's Day soon.

Does anyone else find this game rather grindy, account-wise? I started a few weeks back to join some friends and I keep running into this issue where I'll like a hero in the free rotation, then look at the gold cost and realize it's 10k gold (or sometimes 7k). I thought this was just bad luck, but after researching the full cost list, I've come to realize that a full two-thirds of the roster costs 7k or more. So it's almost like Blizzard engineered it this way. This is only exacerbated by the account and hero levels requiring millions of xp (thanks to tons of empty level) to get a measly 750 gold, or the rare 2000 reward that sounds high until I remember that two-thirds of the roster costs over three times that much. Matches themselves are only worth a laughable 25 with Stimpack. Sure, I could do non-bot matches, but my team isn't really PvP-inclined and hell if I'm going to any dedicated kind of solo queue in a MOBA (I had enough of that with LoL, TYVM), which has significant risk of not even paying out, anyway. There's also real money, but the non-sale prices make me "Nope." right out of their store.

Daily quests add 200 to 300 to your earnings per day, if you play what it requires. It can be a bit of a pain at the beginning, when you don't have a character per class and/or universe, but as far as I know they can be completed by playing against bots. I think you have to wait to level 6 or 10 to unlock them?

Also, characters with a lower price tend to be easier to master. I have bought Valla, ETC and Li-Li for 2000 gold apiece, and they're pretty basic but still powerful.

Of course, Blizzard obviously want you to spend money on their game, so... Not surprised here.
