Apparently, according to Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing), there will be a scene in which all of the supporting cast will be in a room together from each of the individual defenders shows. How this is going to work I have no clue, but if it's true then it should yield some interesting results.

Hand comes after them so they build a GIANT saferoom?

I am currently reading a great fanfiction where the various "sidekicks" have a support group, but I never expected that there would be much interactions in the actual shows (except with Claire, naturally).

But I guess Ward might not count into this group...(I so hope that he does, I am dying to see him interact with all those "normal" people).

I really want to see Ward interact with people.

This is probably the first time I've considered that maybe the show could use an extra episode.

I hope his Character development sticks

I hope his relationship with Danny is explored more since now they sort of have a partnership. Ward runs Rand so Danny doesn't have to really, but I imagine Danny will still pop up to be like "Why are we selling this AIDS medication at ten times the price it takes to produce it???"

Some new images in case anyone is hungering for more Defenders stuff. Some nice shots of interactions between the secondary characters, such as Matt and Trish interacting seprately with Misty Knight, Collen Wing with her sword drawn out defending a wounded Misty from attackers, Karen and Foggy together again. The interactions amongts all the side characters is one of the main things I'm looking forward to, makes it really feel like a crossover event in an organic and deserved way.

I really hope that the big "supporting character meeting scene" isn't in the context of a hostage situation.

Also finger's crossed that we get a Daughters of the Dragon show out of this at some point, that'd be awesome.

I'm pretty sure they have already announced that Misty will be on season 2 of the Iron Fist.

Yep, they announced it at comicon. But not with a release date - though they already have a new show runner, so at least this time they won't rush into production.

Maybe they'll put Danny in a costume so they can use a stunt double this time.

But still damn do I hate everything they've made the central character.

It's fixable. More than fixable. He's clearly learning.

According to the Collider review of the first defender episode, his character is actually pretty likable and engaging in it. I guess I was right that his slightly naïve go-lucky attitude was supposed to be an off-set for the other defenders.

Not all characters work as leads. There are many tremendous characters in ensemble casts whose solo adventures are disappointing (or would be if they existed). If Danny's main strength is to be a foil to the cynical Defenders such as Matt or especially Jessica, then he'll need a similar dynamic in his own show to be interesting...and it's harder when you are the main man (and you already have an established cast of secondary characters).

Maybe Iron Fist season 2 will really just be Daughters of the Dragon by another name. Not that that idea doesn't deserve its own show for real, but Misty's going to be on season 2, right?

Plus we've got Jeri 'Trinity' Hogarth. I don't know if she'll ever get any actual action scenes, but that'd be a fun thing to nod at.

I think Misty might be a perfect addition to the cast. She's very idealistic despite the cynicism that Harlem inspires. She's a Knight in Sour Armor which I think would be a a good personality to pair up Danny with. She'll ground Danny, but at the same time be inspired by his idealism. Plus we know that Finn Jones is at his best when he's working off other people. I think the should would benefit from having a tighter ensemble.

The defenders might start to turn up in each others shows now, too. We already had this with Luke Cage in Jessica Jones, once they all meet there is actually little reason to have them no turn up. Except money, naturally.

Well, part of my problem with the show was that Danny's character was so confusing and conflictingly written that I found only impossible to like him.

Oh that and how he consistently ignored his love interests desires and thoughts in his favor of doing whatever he felt like with no consequences.

If Misty does show up in IF Season 2, it'd be interesting to see where they go with her. After all, she is Danny's most long-running and notable love interest in the comics as well.
