I just noticed that we don't have a threat to talk about the general Sim series - none of the Sim Citys before 5 or The Sims before 3, or any of the myriad of other games that haven't really been given new installments - from Sim Isle to Sim Golf to the kids games like Sim Safari, and everything in between. Figured we should have a central thread about all of it all at once, so... here we are.

To start it off, I guess, can I just say how much I love Jerry Martin's music? Both his compositions and the bands they got together to play - not only is he one of my favorite video game composers, but as far as I'm concerned he's the name in video game jazz. Though I don't really want to get into recent game bashing, I gotta admit that both The Sims and Sim City lost something great when they started phasing that out.

I swear, the music - rock, techno, jazz, all of it - is by far the best thing about Sim Copter:

I still have it all on my computer.

Speaking of Sim Copter, those games may have been ghastly (though Sim Copter at least played decently), but that and Streets Of Sim City were both really novel ideas (the whole "play a whole new kind of game within the city you yourself created" bit) that I wish would make a comeback.
