Episode 9. In which kids and foxes fool around.
Sometimes it's just nice watching her father. He's so relaxed.
Don't diss the delicious and golden fruits.
Fried tofu, standard fox food.
"You're very soft on dad." Well, dad is a very soft person.
"Neener, neener, mine's biigger than yours~" Well, that may be somewhat paraphrased.
Haru's somewhat easily riled up. Just somewhat.
Sometimes having a large and fluffy tail is good for you.
There's something rather funny about giving divine beings fast food...
Nice to hear Gin laugh.
Check out my fanfiction!Episode 9:
- Mr.Saeki's so cool, so relaxed. That's what makes him awesome.
- Don't waste
Gintaro's precioussssfood. - Haru and Gintaro verbally jab each other.
- If you can't see their face, you shouldn't assume that they're sleeping.
- It's very easy to rile Haru up, isn't it.
- Haru got lost. But she wasn't really lost in the end.
- Ah, it did rain.
Now smile, lucky couple. - And the winner of the verbal combat was Gintaro. He has a nice laugh. Haru likes cream buns.
Well, Haru was just being Haru.
Us viewers know better though, since we've seen Gintaro pretending to be asleep, or getting woken up by noise quite a few times already. That's why when Haru said "How can he even sleep through all this noise?!" I was all "Nope, he's just pretending to be asleep."
Liking cream buns is very Haru-like. And are those Gin X Haru love flags I see?
Episode 10. In which there's goofing around.
I thought someone was chopping wood or something. Swining a shinai isn't really that loud...
For some reason, it was amusing with the girls fawning over him in the classroom, but later on it didn't really work the same way. Was more in the line of the same loneliness as before, but kind of enforced from his side rather than because people just don't want to associate with him.
"It's not like you guys will be starters if I quit." Burn.
Captain Tall-chan is awesome. Bit of a force-of-nature kind of person.
If he was even thinking about leaving and not having dinner, I doubt he could once the kids started pushing him.
The thing about blisters, if you get them a lot, you get thicker skin, so you won't get them as much.
"Be greedy!" That's a very good advice for someone unassuming.
Kind of lame bragging about being the king when the prince is more popular. But the king, the prince, and the captain make for an amusing trio. Probably the best conversation in the episode. And it kind of makes me wonder if he actually saw a herald...
Check out my fanfiction!I kind of loved the girls being all over him in the backgorund, becuase they just kept doing it every time he was walking around :p
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntEpisode 10:
- Satoru's a hit with the ladies. Forgot about that, really.
- Taisuke's a cool dude. His advice was pretty good.
- Makoto was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't even notice Satoru being dragged around. Funny.
- Seishiro shows us his funny side. Wait, he wasn't trying to be funny! And he might be able to see heralds. How unexpected.
I like how Satoru is sort of a repressed Deadpan Snarker.
x2 Children are often represented as being capable of seeing supernatural beings, but tend to grow out of it. So it may have just been because they were kids at the time, and also had a particularly strong sixth sense.
Episode 11. In which there are a lot of new meetings.
"Don't make him cry." Yeah, count on Gin to come to her father's defence.
She likes older men, older men likes her... Well, for a relative definition of older. Or maybe he's just a pervert.
"I thought you weren't interested in older men."
"Handsome men are an exception!"
Good reasoning.
Saeki's reaction to the brewery thing was amusing. Well, most her reactions are amusing.
"Is this going to work out?"
"I'm taking a nap."
I think that's a rather good summary of their personalities.
So, while the men are working hard, the women are enjoying themselves. Good way to split the work.
Yeah, writing by hand is much better. If you got a letter from someone, would you rather have a hand written one, a printed one, or an email? And I think this really shows that this is the life he chose himself.
Check out my fanfiction!Episode 11:
- Tatsuo and Gin, just chilling and watching a good flick.
- Usually, girls get embarrassed when they remember saying that they want to their father's bride. Makoto's not that kind of girl.
- Yoshitomo sounds familiar. Sanji, is that you?
- Tatsuo has a sister?
- He was supposed to a brewery mogul!? Heh, Tatsuo's truly a man who sticks to his beliefs.
- ...Maybe that's one of the reasons why Hiwako's attracted to him.
- Next time, a good cleansing.
Why did it have to end?
There aren't enough good slice-of-life anime around. :/
I'm basically left with just Non No-oh wait, that just ended too...
Episode Finale:
- Yumi and Hiwako look good and cute in shrine maiden gear.
- The cleansing ceremony, a good time for cameos.
- Takumi was married once. I was surprised at first, but eh.
- Seishiro's half-British, and he's good with people. Well, at least people who don't find him annoying.
- The cleansing ceremony, a wonderful experience.
- Makoto remembers a certain memory. Now, she'll be a shrine maiden in the future. And Gin will be there every step of the way.
Gingitsune, a refreshing, relaxing, and reflective slice-of-life.
Episode 12. In which Mako remembers.
"I won't let you win. We have teenaged girls here." Yeah. That sums him up.
I don't think Yumi fits with that outfit. Her hair's much better wild. Hiwa's a little better.
"And there aren't any ghosts around." Well, that answers that.
I like the subtle or brief expressions they have, since just about all characters appear and many interact. Like the brief one Yumi gives Hiwa when Mako's dad enters.
"Please take him with you when you leave." Some people are more wanted than others.
You know, I like how everyone have different tastes. There's no single person who's exceptionally good looking to everyone, for either gender.
Surprised? I kinda thought it was a given.
Check out my fanfiction!Just saw the last episode. Part of the ceremony reminded me of...synagogue, honestly.
It was a nice series, but I'm a sucker for Japanese religious/mythology shows.
Episode 8:
driver assistantbro.
