To be fair, Himegari only started acting tsundere once she started having competition. Expressing jealousy via anger at the 'unfaithful' party is not at all an uncommon thing for teenage girls.

That excuse would hold water... except the two of them aren't formally dating, nor do they have any kind of established relationship besides observer and subject. You could argue that maybe she feels like becoming Regulus Aurum's medium entitles her to exclusive rights to Kojou, but if she honestly didn't think they would need to unlock more familiars (or that Kojou wouldn't want to keep these magical weapons of mass destruction from disobeying him), then she's an idiot.

tl;dr Himeragi's reasons for constantly chewing out Kojou are stupid and unfounded, just like every other main haremette in history.

She isn't being entirely unreasonable considering that reality conspires to show her ridiculous situations, but it would be nice if she would acknowledge that. (I've seen it happen a few times).

So much bullshit here...

First off, Akatsuki IS a pervert as he himself admitted, he's just good at hiding it. Secondly Himeragi believes him when he says it wasn't what it looked like, She's mad because she thinks he should be way more careful when it comes to women which makes sense when he's a vampire that gets urge to suck blood whenever he's aroused. Remember hat she was ordered to eliminate him if he proves dangerous so of course she would rather have him avoid doing anything stupid.

And saying that there's nothing between them besides being observer and subject... did you even watch the show? I mean seriously...

And saying that she's worse than Ms "I can't keep a consistent attitude for two episodes straight" Sayaka or "I run around like headless chicken, trying a stupid thing one after another" Asagi is just unfounded.

Describing Asagi like that is at least just as unfounded.

There's also a difference between "nothing between them" and "formally dating" or "established relationship".

Except she did pretty much run around trying one silly thing after another. Granted it was during the beginning of this arc which had everyone acting kinda stupid, but so's the stuff KSPAM was talking about.

I could mention that by vampire law Akatasuki and Himeragi apparently have an "established relationship" but even skipping that, the point is that their has reached the point where it's reasonable for her to get jealous, unlike say Asagi.

Dunno, considering his reactions I'd say Asagi has been at least partially successful.

Reasonable to be jealous. Sure. But no, if you insist on claiming you're an observer, you're an observer.

He only noticed anything at the end of the arc when she came straight at him.

Except her mission in no way precludes personal involvement. She there to make sure he doesn't turn evil, the rest is up to her, and getting involved and exerting positive influence is much better than trying to scare him with nebolous threats.

...also now that I think about it, Himmeragi getting involved with Akatsuki and exerting positive influence is pretty much Lion King true plan.

Like I said, LKO's plan is for Himeragi to be his waifu. Though anything extra could be within calculation as tolerable side effects

x7 Except it's been established he doesn't need to be any more careful than he has been. Himmeragi was the first one he took blood from(and she agreed). People get all sorts of urges when they are aroused but usually don't act on them. Koujo doesn't seem any different from anyone else in that regard. He doesn't even had a problem controlling his power... he doesn't use the summons that don't listen of course.

It's XXI century after all. But fine, Yukina Akatsuki, the Vampire Queen.

But he does. Remember, when blood flows out of his nose it's not just the old gag, he's forcing some of his blood to stop the cravings.

Sure, he most likely won't lose control but considering what would happened if he did it

I'm kinda glad that they're not just using it as the old gag it usually is. One of the more tired gags, I think, and only really works if it's unexpected. My favourite use of that trope is still one time in Sailor Moon, by Minako.

Episode 9:

Padding, padding, padding. Aside from the brief bit at the beginning, nothing of note happens until halfway into the episode. Basically Akatsuki doesn't understand women, Yukina is supportive, Akatsuki big brother instinct activates. There, I saved you 10 minutes.

Angels, huh? Well that's interesting.

What's with nebolous evil organizations hunting saintly young girls? You'd think that went out of style by now. Also, human experimentation.

lol, Akatsuki getting hate for being close with Yukina. Haters gonna hate.

Neko! Himmeragi sure loves kitties.

Whenever I hear that "Protagonist can't defeat X!" at the beginning of the arc, It's 100% sure that by the end of it, he'll defeat it.

The Cats Church was pretty cute with how Himeragi got so exctited, and I guess Akatsuki's definitely going to get involved with this case.

Asagi grown nicely from her boring stock tsundere appearance. I liked her sneak attack. And that she looked disappointed. And that Yukina was watching

Sayaka's bit was also amusing. Meh otherwise.

Episode 9. In which there are cats.

So yeah, the demons aren't the bad guys.

"You know that wasn't my fault!" How I wish more harem protagonists would say that. Then again, I kinda doubt most harem girls would listen to that any more than to anything else.

Yuki thinks he's really dense. I think I probably agree with that.

"What if you didn't do it alone?" Somehow, I get the feeling Asagi just wanted to play dressup herself...

Good countermeasures. They're super effective.

Again, good reaction from Yuki. Not extreme.

"There's no way she'd be popular." I think we have a case of the Brother Blindness syndrome here.

I think he's rather good at cutting her off on the phone. I think the denseness concerning her revolves around how close he doesn't want to be with her.

If it sounds like they're being naughty, 90% of the time they aren't. 9% of the time it just looks like they are. 1% of the time they actually are, but pretend they aren't.

I think this makes it rather clear that someone being beautiful is something you really have to tell the audience, one way or another, since they all look so similar anyway.

I like how they're talking about those hair colours as natural, but not Japanese. Got a rather ethereal feeling to that hair.

It's almost as if she's not a tsundere at all...

Remind me to never listen to you if you recommend that I see or not see something. Character interactions are far more interesting than plot exposition.

Well, Asagi looked liked one at first. I would agree that she grew into/out of it over time. Which is nice.

I find the character interactions much more interesting than the plot in this. I think you need the action to balance it a bit and change things up, but the characters are more interesting.

Yeah, when was the last time guy went "That wasn't my fault!" and the girl was like "You got a point. Yukina is great. So refreshing.

I have to disagree. I'm really interested in the various factions and power struggles of supernatural world.

Oh, I never meant that. Character interactions on this show are great, one of the things that made me stick with it.

Episode 9:

• This arc's opponents are angels.
• Sayaka has truly grown attached to Kojou. Even Yukina sees it. He doesn't, however.
• Kojou became a model, Kojou and Asagi cosplayed, and took necessary countermeasures to make sure neither does any funny stuff. But most importantly, Asagi wants Kojou to spill his guts.
• Yukina's always watching. Gotta keep that in mind. That said, good council.
• Heh. Expected Nagisa to be popular.
• Let loose your big brother instincts, Kojou! You missed the timing, though.
• Another middle-school celebrity appears. And they special rules concerning Yukina and Kanon, but not Nagisa? Wait, that would just heaping more curses on Kojou.
• Kanon's hair's so white...
• Cat Church. Yukina's crazy for cats. Do the math and watch her squee. Also, Kanon truly deserves the title "Saint". At least for now, she's the Saint of Cats.
• Vatler doesn't want Kojou to be involved. Good call. Sadly, he's probably going to fight Kanon one way or another...

My guess is that Kanon is an artificial angel. You know, like Index's Fuse=KAZAKIRI.

New episode:

Whole festival just to hide their fight? Somebody has big budget. It was just there to put Yukina in a Yukata, right?

I'd be nice if they explained some of the technical aspects. What are "Mask Possessions", no I get the idea but some detail would be nice.

That fight was pretty hardcore. Didn't expect so much gore.

Yeah, it makes total sense not to tell Natsuki-chan about the girl... no it doesn't.

Yukina fears flying. Aww, that was pretty sweet scene when Koujou held her hand.

And the villains nefarious plan is to... mildly inconvenience them by leaving them on an island. Pretty weak.

So yeah, they aren't exactly in peril as they spend most of the time flirting. More fanservice too.

What are the odds that they got trapped on the same island as Princes Zelds ()? Pretty high it turns out, because there she is. Of course naked.

Next episode: Naked Yukina! Boobs shoots, ass shots! And in oversized hoodie! And some other stuff.
