Better, but I'm afraid the flame bit might be too small to be seen when shrunken down. (Even at this size, it's hard to spot right away.)
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...may I suggest this image of a Cullexus Assassin killing a Chaos Marine Sorcerer◊.

I have some difficulty at telling what's happening there.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI was a bit reluctant to suggest the original black and white version◊ for that reason but I thought the colouring (the blue energy coming from the assassin and into the dying Sorcerer) made it clearer.
Looks like two robots, though.
Check out my fanfiction!I like the concept, but the arguments against it are valid. Is there a good screencap of the Blood Angel chainswording the Eldar warlock from the trailer for Dawn of War II?
The image here should show the mage's magic not working, while the mage killer is attacking them. It's easy enough to get one or the other; can we get both?
Or maybe if we had a guy standing over a pile of dead wizards without a scratch on him.

Rhymes with "Protracted."Something like this◊ then? I'm not sure it's entirely clear that the warrior is winning however...
That's not bad.
OK, but not strong - looks like "doesn't work yet" to me.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWhat about Ryu Kokki◊?
I just see a weird creature, nothing there shows it attacking a mage that I can see. I don't think the bottom text would be legible at wiki size, if you're talking about using the whole card.

I do not even see how it's relevant to the trope.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIt's in the abilities text at the bottom half of the card, he affects spellcaster enemies.
And we're supposed to know that how?
Warrior OR Spellcaster enemies. Which, I think, disqualifies it from being an "I kill mages" specialist (regardless of the cart art, which really doesn't illustate the trope at all).

This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...I am afraid that this is a "the visuals add nothing" situation.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWould something like this◊ be illustrative enough?
It's as good as the others like it, so sure.
It's the right setup action-wise, but it doesn't get us from "Guy who kills mages" to "Guy who specializes in killing mages." There's no indication he's different from any random guy with a sword.
Rhymes with "Protracted."I'm not exactly sure how the "specialization" can be visualized, actually. Images of mages fighting (and losing to) non-mages are plenty, however.
I'm not sure either. Seems like a BUPKIS to me.
If we can turn up the Conservation of Ninjutsu and get one of a guy fighting a whole bunch of mages at once (and winning) instead of just one, that might work.

Rhymes with "Protracted."Clock is set.
Clock's up; locking for inactivity/lack of consensus. No further action is to be taken based on this thread.
That's better, but seeing it at wiki size will determine how well it really works.
