Around the cars

At this range, (Which seemed to be something to the tune of 100+ meters, for reference.) Spencer's revolver wouldn't have done much to the robots even if he was aiming, so his un-aimed shot accomplished literally nothing apparent. Even using his scope was a bit difficult, it being usually adjusted for the 'literally just across a small bridge' range that they fought at back at Teufort; but, his shot did ring true, just barely charged enough to take out the sniper he'd aimed for.

Sandy's fire had the same problem as Spencer's revolver, in that at this range even aimed the proper direction it would accomplish very little; instead her random firing was presenting more of a threat to her teammates (particularly the BLU 'teammates') than it was to the enemy. Especially when one of the shots hit poor Jack in the side as he was still catching his breath; thankfully it took off less than a tenth of his health.

The remaining robot snipers were ignoring Tux, and the shots towards Spencer were hitting his cover instead of him. Shots were landing around Jack, thankfully missing, but both Paladin and Sandy each had a shot hit. Another thankful factor was that these robot snipers were not charging their shots at all; thus the shot on Paladin's torso did just over a fourth of his health rather than most of it, while the shot to Sandy's leg took over half of hers rather than outright kill her instantly. If paladin was looking for an opportunity to melee, he'd have to get a lot closer than sniping distance.

Over at the beetle car, Espía was trying to follow Tux's example, hastily putting together his own robot disguise mask. Tux himself met no resistance getting up to the closest part of the rock formations where he was perfectly safe, but didn't really have sight on any of the robots anymore. There was certainly more of them deeper into the formations, but the very nature of the formations made getting line of sight difficult. He could try climbing up to the tops where he would easily be able to see any other robots up at the tops, but that would put him back into line of sight of the snipers. (Which granted, wasn't really a problem for him right now.)

"Hey!" Sandy yelled after she got shot in the leg, angrily standing up and glaring at the robots. "Who the hell did that?! Was it you guys?! Oh, that's it." She reached into that little area between her breasts, pulling out... a can of BONK. "You idiots are going down. In flames."

She drank the BONK, grinning madly as she felt the energy and the sugar coursing through her veins. Going into cover, she started shooting back at the robots with her Soda Popper, seconds away from laughing like a madwoman, the sugar rush making her run in place, even with the pain from the bullet. It didn't count as much as normal running did, but at least it was something, and soon, she'd rain down critical hell on those robot bastards.

Using his robot sniper disguise, Tux got on the floor, crawling over to the tops in order to get a better look- and to pass off as a robot sniper trying to get a good shot. He'd move onto finding the right spot for his sapper, a place where it would take out most of the sniper robots or its source, like before.

Paladin immediately followed behind Sandy, moving in a confusing, erratic way like he had done many times against other snipers in the past. He'd probably take some damage, but if he got to the snipers then it wouldn't matter.

((OOC:And then a computer crash and a chore delayed this post further. It's like the universe is conspiring against me.))

Around the cars

As Spencer took cover from sniper return fire, Jack was able to drag himself into cover without getting hit again. It seemed that three of the four snipers remaining were shooting at Spencer's position, so he was in the clear.

Over by the beetle car, Espía stood up with his makeshift robot scout mask on and started moving around the car to go towards the rock formations. "Alright, let's see if-" his statement was cut off as the fourth robot sniper hit Espía's head. The body hit the ground with a slump.

Edge of the rock formations

Again, with the snipers concentrated on those still over at the cars, Sandy and Paladin were able to get into cover by the rock formations with no problem. The edge of the rock formations curved inward going over to the left, like a crescent; at the other end of said crescent was where the snipers were firing from, still a good 70+ meters away. This meant that to get to the snipers, they could either go around the left straight at them, which would mean forgoing cover; go over the top of the rock formations, which had the same problem; go through the rock formations, which again seemed like a maze from here, or go around the long way, the right side.

Sandy's fire towards the snipers near the left side, where she could be in cover and still do that, wasn't doing much. At this range, the spread on her shotgun meant she was lucky if even one or two of the pellets actually hit any of the robots. She could finally tell from here that there was definitely more robots up there than just the snipers; the glowing heal beams from medic robots stood out especially, as they started undoing what little damage she was doing. Crits would help in this situation, but probably not enough to really matter at this range.

Up above, Tux was able to get an even better look, but was likewise not near enough to use his sapper yet. A quick scan of the horizon would tell him that there was no carrier around this time; so at least there was solace in the fact that the robots were likewise in a scenario of not being able to reinforce themselves. Unfortunately though, the robots had them far outnumbered.

Each of the four snipers (who were too far spread apart to get even any two of them with the sapper) was seemingly accompanied by a group of other robots who were patrolling back and forth behind them. A fifth group of robots was doing the same thing, near the sniper robot that Spencer had already destroyed.

The closest group, on the far right, had the sniper, a spy, a demo, and two medics.

Going to the left from there, the second group had the sniper, two pyros, an engineer, (with set up sentry and dispenser, both level 1) and another medic.

The third group had the sniper, a scout, two engineers, (with a combined nest of a level 2 sentry, level 1 sentry, and two level 1 dispensers) and another sniper robot, who seemed to be equipped with the huntsman and thus wasn't partaking in the sniping but just patrolling like the rest.

The fourth group was the one missing its shooting sniper, and what it had left was a soldier, two demos, and again another sniper with huntsman.

The fifth and final group had its sniper, a pyro, a spy, another huntsman sniper, and another engineer. (this one with just a level 1 dispenser, and currently building its sentry)

If Tux could get within range for his sapper, and time the throw right, he could probably hit any one of the given groups entirely, including buildings, so long as they kept doing exactly what they currently were doing. (Spencer could see the composition of the groups too, if he looked with his scope closely enough.)

"Little Fraulein, use ze rock formations and try to find your vay sthrough zem. I vill keep zem busy in ze meantime,"

He curled his left hand into a fist, and a glowing white arc of energy seemed to grow from the sigil on his forearm before it stabiled into what looked like an arm-mounted crossbow.

He popped out of cover, took aim and fired at the snipers and the enemy medics when he could get a clear shot before ducking back. He tried to use the range and the damage bonus to severely damage the snipers.

"I goooot it!" Sandy announced as she felt all that soda energy filling her, enough for her to jump over the car. It was like time was in slow motion, as she ran through the fields, from cover to cover, like a hyperactive squirrel. Every now and then she'd double jump, getting as high as possible in the air, and attempt to fire as many crits as possible towards the robots, all whilst yelling insults and taunts over and over like someone had messed up her programming.

"Sentries. Why did it have to be sentries." Tux mulled over his options, before testing over. "NE-ED SO-ME HE-LP HE-RE!" He yelled, trying to do his best imitation of a robotic Sniper, trying to see if the robots responded to requests of help. Either way, he went back to sneaking through the rocks, and made his way towards the group with the two Sentry nests.

With a curse, Spencer looked down his sight, counting the gun shots, waiting for a pause, waiting to see if the Robots had to reload, if not, he was at least waiting for them to use up heir charge before firing back. "Fuck these goddamn robots!" Well, at least there wasn't a Giant heavy mech dual wielding Miniguns showing up out of nowhere, so that was a good thing...

Rock formations

The range put Paladin's damage to an advantage, but it was also so great that he couldn't reliably hit his shots. He got a good hit on the rightmost sniper, damaging it greatly and prompting it to switch targets to him; but unfortunately when he went to follow up the shot and finish the sniper off, it missed, and he could see one of the medics healing it. His long reload meant that every miss like that would let the medics undo even more of the damage.

Somewhere behind Paladin, he'd hear the telltale uncloaking of a dead ringer and suddenly unmuted footsteps approaching at a run. This was quickly followed by the sounds of sniper rounds impacting dirt from around the same area, and a cry of "Mierda!" A couple moments later and Espía put himself into cover next to Paladin, taking off his unsuccessful robot disguise mask. "I'm going to have to try again. Is there a plan of action here, señor?" Espía asked, flipping the mask around to the blank side and starting to draw another one.

Further into the rocks, Sandy was quickly starting to close distance to the robots, and by running up the rocks partially before double jumping she was able to crest the tops and fire mini-crits at the closest group of robots. This caused some panic in their ranks, based on the robotic yells, though otherwise they didn't really act like panicking people that much. The spy cloaked, and the demo started lobbing pipe bombs towards Sandy, which were bouncing down between the rocks and thus at danger of getting her even while she wasn't jumping. The sniper just kept shooting at Paldin's position while the medics kept healing.

This spectacle had also caught the attention of the second group of robots. The two pyros and medic split off and headed for the first group to reinforce them, but the sniper and engineer just kept on with what they were doing.

With Sandy off to his right and actually having gotten ahead of him, Tux was clear of the combat and now in sapper throwing range of the third group.

At the cars

Spencer would know by now (if he bothered to work it out in his head) that with the frequency of shots compared to how many snipers were shooting, the robots weren't bothering to charge their shots at all, just firing and firing as fast as they could. The shooting didn't slow down, (They were technically reloading after every shot, just really fast.) but suddenly there weren't any shots pinging off the van or the ground nearby anymore. This meant they were shooting at something else for the moment, which should give him an opening.

"I'll have to follow ze Fraülein sthrough ze rocks. Zese snipers are more durable zen I'm used to," Paladin grunted.

"Once ve get into close qvarters, stay near me," Paladin warned. "My strikes heal my teammates und myself."

With that, he broke cover and ran.

He obviously had experience closing distance on snipers. His crossbow still active, he fired blind shots with his light-bow, utilizing the mysteriously large error of margin on his arrows to try and put down some suppressive fire.

At the same time, he moved erratically, seeming to stutter in his steps seemingly at random as he darted from cover to cover. He knew ihe was going to get hit once or twice. But if he could get to the snipers, he could erase that damage with a single swing of his sword.

"Miss me! Miss me again! Oh what's that? Ring ring ring! No one picked up the phone so I guessed you missed me AGAIN!" Sandy yelled, laughing like a maniac, putting all that soda energy in good use. Of course, there was that matter of those pesky pipe bombs... one landed right next to her, but instead of jumping away again, this time she started running towards the Demomen. Pulling out her bat, she jumped on top of a rock, spun it around and attemtped to land on top of one of the Demomen, so she could bat it out of its life.

A distraction. Excellent. Tux waited for the right moment, and then pulled the Quantum Sapper out of his suit. Flicking it on, he watched the third group, and when even one panicked robot passed by, he threw the Sapper towards the middle of the group, hoping to catch them all. Right after throwing, he slinked over to that first robot Engineer with a Level One Sentry. He removed his mask just a little, enough for the sentry to catch him, and positioned himself behind the Engineer, so the Sentry would shoot him.

Spencer cursed, true, the mechs were reloading and they weren't charging...so, some happiness, all the same, he charged his shot while he made his way to the other side of the car, standing up and firing at one of the Snipers, aiming for their upper torso and ducking back down under the hood.

Rock formations

Tux's throw worked like a charm, landing in the center of the third group just as the patrolling scout and huntsman sniper bots were passing by the rest of the group, thus catching them all. The robots were only stunned, but they would be stuck in place a good while; particularly while the buildings would be destroyed, the engineer robots unable to rescue them.

Now Tux's attempted trick with the mask didn't work the way he hoped it would. The mask could only be disguising him or not disguising him, not halfway between; which meant lifting it up was enough to completely drop the disguise. However, with the first group and half of the second group concentrating on Sandy, and the third group busy being stunned, that left only the sniper robot and engineer robot. The sniper just kept shooting at and missing Paladin, while the engineer robot was facing its sentry when Tux dropped the disguise. The sentry started firing, trying to get Tux but only managing to get the engineer robot. The engineer's response, calculating a fitting response strategy in but a fraction of a second...

Was to start hitting the sentry with its wrench; the sentry was using up ammo and needed to be refilled, after all. The firing paused a moment as the sentry upgraded to level two, before promptly blowing the engineer robot away in a hail of bullets.

Over to the right, Sandy's maneuver to dodge the pipe bombs by way of charging the demo robot and leaping onto it worked, and even with one of the medic robots healing it, (being healed by the second medic robot itself) it did not take her long to beat it down into scrap metal, nuts, and bolts.

Having dealt with the metaphorical frying pan, Sandy now had to face the less metaphorical fire, as the two pyro robots from the second group came charging her way, one slightly to her left the other slightly to her right, and both sweeping arcs of fire left and right to keep her from just dodging between or around them. She could move away, being faster than them, but from behind her came the sound of a spy decloaking...

Meanwhile, Paladin found himself and Espía being shot at by only two of the four robot snipers, one busy being stunned while another got caught up with something else. Thus he only took one hit, right as he was nearly done regenerating the damage from the last one, putting him down to effectively that same mark again. On the downside, his attempt at suppression fire with his 'crossbow' failed spectacularly, the robots simply not caring one way or another and being completely unphased by the shots passing them; on the upside, ducking into another gap between the rocks on the right side of the clearing, (the only place he could find cover) he was now about within range for his shield leap to reach the first sniper. There was the matter of vertical distance, but that could be solved by climbing up the rocks first.

Cars

Safely behind the tipped van, Jack was able to build the level one tarantula in peace. However, there was the issue of not having enough metal on hand to upgrade it, or build anything else.

Meanwhile, Spencer was able to charge up his shot while looking through the scope before emerging from cover to fire at the first sniper, which hit it right in the upper torso, just as he had aimed for. The sniper wasn't destroyed by this, having been healed back up to just over full by one of the medic robots since it had taken that bolt from Paladin, but it did get the sniper robot's attention on Spencer, instead of on the much easier targets of Paladin or Espía; it even kept it from turning around to help with the conflict with Sandy not far behind it. Once again the one by one steady pinging and whizzing of uncharged shots hitting the van or the ground close by was sounding around their position.

Paladin turned one last time to Espia, the bloodthirst (oilthirst?) clear in his voice.

"Get behind zem."

With that, Paladin reloaded, scaled the rocks, and fired a single shot from his bow. While the bolt was still in flight, he unsheathed his sword, and leapt at the closest sniper, his sword glowing white and red as it came down in a critcal strike.

Sandy smashed the Demoman robot with all her strength- it was so brutal, you could have thought that the robot had stolen candy (or a can of soda) from her when she was a child- but now that the Demoman was nothing more than a bunch of bolts, her mind went back to something else: escaping.

She was about to jump back when she heard the sound of a spy decloaking. Not sure if it was a friend or foe, she tightened the grip on her bat. "Time for some ballerina shit!" She said as she started doing a pirouette, trying to hit the Spy on the face and clear a way for her to escape.

"What a bloody idiot." Tux snickered as the Engineer was taken by his own weapon. Said snickers quickly stopped as he realized his disguise was gone, and soon the weapon was going to turn against him. Taking another mask and haphazardly putting it on (turning into some half-Scout half-Spy thing for the sentry and members of the opposite team), he jumped for cover, so he could work on a new disguise.

At the cars

The tarantula proceeded to do nothing but idle, since being behind the van it had no line of fire to any of the robots. (It was also out of range, meaning he'd have to use his remote.)

Rock formations

"Oh yes, that shouldn't be hard" Espía said, prepping his dead ringer as he followed Paladin up the rocks.

Up there, Paladin's bolt flew true into the sniper robot, making it yell out in some electronic facsimile of an Australian accent, which was cut off by him bringing his sword down on it and nearly obliterating it. This gained Paladin back... A sliver of health, since between Spencer's shot and Paladin's bolt, the sniper robot barely had any itself at that point.

Off to Paladin's right, Sandy's pirouette put her face to face with the robot spy that had cloaked earlier, and her bat managed to meet it before it could get in the stab with its knife, just barely throwing it off. That cleared her way to run away from it and the two pyro robots, who she could hear were no longer firing their flamethrowers.

That was because they both switched to their shotguns to have a chance at getting Sandy, but one of them went down before it could, getting a stab in the back from Espía. The Spanish spy then had to face the medic robot that had been healing said pyro robot. The other pyro started shooting, the first shot pegging the dirt just in front of Sandy's left side as she ran.

Over towards the left side of the battle, Tux was in fortune of having an easy option for cover; simply diving down one of the many gaps in the rock formations. Against his fortune though was that his disguise failed, and the sentry riddled him with bullets as he jumped down, leaving him with less than a quarter of his health. He also tumbled down between the rocks, which hurt, but didn't do any actual damage.

With Tux out of sight, the sentry turned its attention to Paladin, who was just barely in its range.

Paladin hissed when he recovered barely any health, but he cut himself off and flung himself away from the sound of the sentry beeping. He needed his shield to recharge before he could deal with that.

He knew there was more than one sniper bot somewhere. He looked around for another one, if he found one, he'd charge right at it, moving erratically to throw off its aim.
