Well, to be honest, the bio seems okay so far. But I'm not giving any actual approval until I see it completed.

I looked at your suggestions and improved my character,I re-edited my post, but I couldn't tell if you saw it or not, so here it is:

  • Name: Atticus Koine
  • Age: 17
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearance: 5' 9" Spiky brown hair, Moderately sized hazel eyes, slightly upturned nose, average physique,Black Jacket, light-wash jeans, black sneakers, Black pilot suit with white accents on the chest (Diagonals forming an X)
  • Personality: Atticus is a bit Lazy as a result of being constantly bored, In addtion to this, he has become largely impervious to others' opinions of him and enjoys obfuscating stupidity, he devotes a good deal of time to whimsical hedonism as a result of this, and is also a bit pervy, and something of a prankster
  • History:perpetually bored son of a rich man, dreamed of piloting a mech, and jumped at the first opportunity to become one, he seeks enjoyment from joining the academy, to relieve his near-constant boredom
  • Mechanical Frame: Modified standard mech (whatever it's name may be). Nicknamed "Impostor"
  • Appearance: something like this [1] (not mine, is that okay?) that body, but It's head is white with a Black question mark on the cockpit, rest of the rig is black, has a white X on its chest in mimicry of its pilot's suit, also has a black broadsword on its back, and a dagger (Main-gauche) on its right hip.
  • Weaponry: Atticus prefers Melee combat, and as a result Impostor is equipped with a broad sword, Main-Gauche, enhanced unarmed combat featuring aditional pneumatics on the arms and legs, and solid armor and shields, ranged is a bit weak and consists of a sound emitter designed to distract the opponent, and a shoulder-mounted missile launcher with a somewhat limited ammo capacity, the rig is slow in cross-field movements, but quick in combative motions.

  • Is this better?

  • Name: Christine Hepner
  • Age: 16
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance:[1] Christine is slightly below average height.
  • Personality: A rather severe person, befitting her place on the school ethics committee. Not afraid to speak her mind, although quiet and obedient in the face of authority, Christine is the type to neither take nor give any quarter during a confrontation. She's also not one to leave a task unfinished after deciding something is to be done.
  • History: Christine grew up on a colony cluster neighboring Casval territory. The colony was quickly overrun (it was a primary target due to a captured asteroid being used for mining and a sizeable industrial base). Christine's family fled, though her mother died in the process. She and her father lived with her uncle for a while, until Christine enlisted in the Academy.
  • Mechanical Frame: UEG YVF-V5(H); Nickname "Foxbat." Christine's unit with extra rocket motors and an over-sized main engine, with most of the armor removed. The demands of the engine also prevent the use of any directed energy weapons. The design itself was an attempt by her uncle's design firm to create a transformable machine, but this particular configuration didn't pan out, so was passed on to Christine to use at the academy. Despite being a failed prototype, it is capable of reaching speeds and accelerations far in excess of any known Casvalian or UEG frame.
    • Appearance: Similar to this, with extra verniers on the shoulders and legs. This is also her preferred color scheme.
    • Weaponry:
      • 2x Heated combat spikes, located in forearms
      • 1x Standard UEG machine gun.

Finally got this done. Time to Boom and Zoom some suckers.

  • Name: Alaric Von Eldricheim
  • Age: 16
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearance: [1]. Alaric is above average height, but his quiet personality reduces his taller presence somewhat.
  • Personality: The first impressions is that Alaric is a lazy recluse. However, he himself likes to cultivate that image. While he seems like he does only half effort at things, he tries to keep his pacing and effort adequate (unless it involves his interest in M Fs, then he's very spirited). And although he's not very social, he's quite loyal to anyone he'd consider a "friend", due to his rather lonely upbringing. He's still rather quiet though, and rarely raises up his voice beyond his soft-spoken tone of speaking. He doesn't stress too much on problems, and takes everything in a easygoing way.
  • History: Born the fifth son of the prodigious Eldricheim family, it wasn't likely that Alaric would've inherited anything. Staying in the shadows of his older siblings, he took to studying about M Fs and found himself quite enamored with them. Building and scrapping many possible ideas for the machines, he couldn't find a good use until he was finally able to enlist in the Academy.
  • Mechanical Frame: Modified UEG MSU-V7, Nicknamed "Geist". While it's designated for scouting, its capabilities are well-rounded with focus towards mobility, and can be armed with whatever armaments are required (below is just his personal preference).
  • Appearance: Here. It has a more duller green colour scheme.
  • Weaponry:
    • Haunt: A personal project of Alaric, a built in stealth system that he tinkered with. Upon use, Geist is rendered completely invisible to both radar and the naked eye. However, due to technical limits, he can only use it indefinitely while completely inactive, and in three second bursts during movement (although it'll be barely visible visually).
    • Poltern Launchers: Affixed to Geist's arms, these fire off armor-piercing rockets. In emergencies, the launchers themselves can be purged and detonated remotely.
    • A simple laser rifle. Can fire full auto, but Alaric prefers a quick three-shot burst. Not the most strongest of weapons, but capable of piercing through light armor.
    • A pair of heat knives hidden within the compartments of the shoulders.

So seeing as we have quite a few different characters now, perhaps should we start a discussion thread to talk about/set up housing arrangements and possibly any pre-RP relations?

I also wanted to check - will the RP have more of a focus on slice of life? Or mecha stuff?

Um... sorry, I'll take a look at him again shortly.

As for the focus, the slice of life will be fairly prominent, but so will the mecha stuff. Especially after things start to get more serious, since it starts with training battles.

Here we go. Hope this fits well enough.

  • Name: Ellisandra 'Elli' Gujar
  • Age: 17
  • Gender: F
  • Appearance: Elli stands a bit shy of one and a half meters (a daunting four foot nine without any shoes), and a bit on the stocky side. While her genetic origin is mixed, there is obviously a significant amount of Pilipino in her family's background. Though her nose is narrower than normal for the phenotype, her overall facial features are easily described as 'round'. Her black hair hangs in a chin-length bob, obscuring all but the front of her headband. Said headband usually prompts 'the ninja question', as it has a large metal plate across the front of it, with what appear to be faux-rivets attaching it to the cloth.
Her build is somewhat stocky, though she is still obviously female. She has taken, over the last couple of years, to wearing a 3/4 sleeve flak jacket with various pockets in an odd dark blue/green camo color combination. Atop this is a khaki cargo vest, whose pockets are nearly always full. Elli nearly always wears a pair of fingerless dark-blue gloves, with light padding on the backs. She eschews skirts entirely, instead wearing baggy fatigue pants in the same camo colors as her flak jacket, which she belts with a massive double-holed dark-purple belt that doesn't actually fit in the belt loops of the pants. The last of her usual clothing is a pair of mid-calf buckled boots, thick and heavy waffle-stompers in the same deep purple as her belt.
  • Personality: Ellisandra fits her nickname far more than she does her given name. While she is fairly even-tempered, that is more a matter of rarely changing mood much than a matter of actually keeping neutral of emotion. She often comes across as dour and cynical, though she makes frequent sarcastic jokes and would probably be unpleasant to spend time around if she actually had either the disposition to be sarcastic about people individually or the speed of wit to be insulting. Despite this, she does smile easily, though not emphatically. She's a pretty solid tomboy overall, having much more affinity for roughhousing, slightly coarse humor, and technology than she does for more 'refined' activities. It's entirely possible that she has a softer side, but nobody has really gotten to see it yet. She is clearly highly intelligent, and while she lacks the kind of social skills most people expect, her overall friendliness and persistent humor mean that she can usually earn the friendship of anyone she spends much time around.
Both on and off the battlefield, Elli is focused on practicality and pragmatism above all else. Her highly straightforwards and earnest nature and developed intelligence make her a natural small-scale tactician, though she only rates passably on large-scale strategy. This is also how she overcomes her very average aim and reflexes, generally forcing others into places she can easily hit them or putting herself in advantageous positions. She has developed something of an addiction to cold, moderately sweetened tea of various kinds, and is rarely without a can or flask of such. How she sleeps despite the caffeine, nobody is really sure.
  • History: Elli is an orphan, though curiously not orphaned by war- her parents died (and she nearly went with them) in a catastrophic transit shuttle accident in her infancy. It was raw luck that she was not impaled by any of the debris that claimed the lives of three-quarters the other passengers on the craft. On the upside, her inheritance left her well provided for. On the downside, she was subject to a string of placements with adoptive families that never seemed to work out. Abusive families, dysfunctional couples, various hidden psychoses and/or addictions in the adopters, and other such complications popped up in case after case. She was eventually made a ward of the state at the age of ten, when she insisted on being put into a Mechanical Frame training program.
While her aim and reflexes proved only acceptable, the young girl demonstrated a keen tactical mind and quick planning capability, as well as flexibility of thought and eventually an incredible ability to pilot smoothly through the worst terrain provided by training scenarios without losing her orientation or targets. It is for this that she is in the Tsukino-Danvers Academy. After her arrival at the academy, she made only one unusual request, granted on proviso of her maintaining a solid 4.0 GPA- which she has met or exceeded every single semester. Her request was a solid overview of the capabilities of all available MF models, with the added permission to request heavy modifications. Her immediate response to all the options shown to her was 'Too many moving parts, too little armor, too delicate.' Over the past several years she has worked directly with the Tsukino-Danvers technicians on the upgrades and modifications to her 'Frame, with the result that she usually has a pretty good idea what all the parts do and, when something is going wrong, what piece is to blame.
  • Mechanical Frame: Heavily Modified MF-A3, 'Xerxes'
  • Appearance: (Image Pending)
The Xerxes has had numerous modifications and upgrades. Based on the venerable A3 'Frame, it was large to begin with and has only become bigger. The torso externals recieved a complete redesign that has considerably bulked out the 'waist' area of the machine, with heavy slabs of armor protecting the internal components from even the direst of impacts. The multi-layer shoulder mounts were integrated into the torso in the process and the shoulder itself was replaced with a more robust and simpler joint protected by a banded covering. Both arms were similarly bulked up, and adjusted to permanently mount their weapons. The hands were reduced from three fingers to two ('I only need four fingers if I'm holding pages in a book. Have you ever seen a book that big? I haven't.') and given heavier actuators for a much stronger grip. The head was removed entirely ('Too many fussy bits, too easy to tear off.') and replaced with a squatter mounting with no neck-joint, and the communication system was upgraded to a model capable of greater range and a larger number of concurrent transmissions. The hip settings were bulked out and simplified as well, with the joints converted to a ball-and-socket mechanism for smoother flexibility. The lower legs of the frame have been shortened by half, and an additional leg segment placed on the end, giving the 'Frame 'bird legs'. Both feet have been heavily modified as well, into the shape of a four-toed 'claw'. The typical 'backpack' jet mounting has been removed entirely in favor of a system more integrally built into the machine.
  • Weaponry:
  • Arms:
  • Each arm mounts a single particle cannon on the outward side of the lower arm. These energy weapons create plasma at the point of 'impact', boiling away armor rapidly. The cannon can only fire short 'bursts' before needing a cooldown period, though, making them more like cannon than beam weapons. They can interfere with electronics, thanks to the electromagnetic properties of the 'cold' plasma they create.
  • Slung under the hand of either arm is a massive, solid spike. These are unquestionably brawling weapons and, when backed by the weight of the massive A3 (increased by the modifications), they not only punch holes in armor and penetrate deflective shields but carry enough momentum to outright overload lighter deflection-based shielding.
  • The 'Frame's massive two-finger-and-a-thumb hands contain high-powered actuator motors that enable them to crumple lighter armor.
  • Torso:
  • The left shoulder holds a 13-tube long-range missile rack. The missiles have relatively small payloads, but the number of them means that the rack can be used both to saturate a relatively large area and that extreme anti-missile measures are necessary to stop an entire volley. The 'Frame carries twenty-five volleys of missiles in its ammo bin.
  • Either side of the torso carries two short-range missile racks. Each rack includes six tubes. These missiles are considerably larger than the shoulder rack's missiles, and pack more than twice the punch. They are not, however, guided missiles, and can be evaded at longer ranges. Anything the Xerxes gets close to, however, will be taking quite a few hits from them. In total, the Xerxes carries enough ammunition for fifty volleys of six missiles, or twelve and a half volleys if all launchers are used each volley.
  • In addition to the twenty-four short range tubes mounted in the Xerxes, it holds a pair of emergency laser cannon, concealed behind ablative plating above the missile launchers. These are purely backup weapons, with a very short range and relatively low damage. These are rarely used.
  • The right shoulder of the Xerxes holds a retractable microwave transmission dish, which can be used to send pinpoint communications or to stay in contact when other modes of communication would be unreliable.
  • Instead of the typical 'backpack' rocket, the Xerxes uses less-common, less-versatile 'jump jets'. These vents (mounted on the rear of the machine's body and embedded in the lowest segment of either leg) generate much higher thrust than a rocket 'pack', but can only be used for short bursts at a time, enabling the 'Frame to make sudden leaps that often disorient or surprise opponents.
  • Head:
  • The Xerxes has an advanced communications suite, specifically chosen for its capability to represent the realtime situation by processing sensor feeds from other machines, vehicles, and command posts. Unfortunately, the dual-antenna reciever is very delicate, making it one of the few 'weak points' on this otherwise uncrackable block of a machine.
  • Legs:
  • In addition to the 'jump jets', the feet of the Xerxes have been replaced with a very different sort of appendage. The four 'toes' of the machine's feet have been enhanced in a similar manner, though to a much more extreme degree, to the machine's hands. In concert with the 'Frame's ability to make sudden hops, these grasping feet not only improve the machine's mobility, they make a devastating close-combat weapon, as only the heaviest, least-contoured armor can avert their crushing grip.
  • Overall: The Xerxes is a very large Mechanical Frame, and among the most heavily armored Frames in existence, possibly only beat out by the 'Gunbuster' fame piloted by Takaya Nanako. While this has rendered it slower than other 'Frames, its pilot is used to compensating for this deficiency. Its weapons load is extremely high as well, with a strong emphasis on close combat power that makes the machine devastating where its pilot is weakest (as any combat pilot can tell you that close-combat requires fast reflexes and good aim). While the overall firepower of the machine is immense, it does not generate enough power to operate all its weapon systems concurrently- the long-range rack and particle cannon are intended to be used together, but trying to add any short-range tubes to the mix results in overloads that can cause pilot feedback and catastrophic reactions within the particle cannon. Similarly, attempting to fire more than two of the short-range missile racks with the long-range rack overtaxes the missile exhaust ports and shoves the machine into an ungraceful faceplant. The advanced communications systems are a good fit for a tactical officer or a field commander, which is shaping up to be the goal position of its pilot, but the microwave dish is retracted during close combat and the main communications suite is easily damaged if the head of the machine is shot.
