This is exactly the sort of realpolitik they'd engage in. They're not going to be actively belligerent, but they are going to try to shore up their position and interests.

Quick personal announcement I'm copy pasting across all RPs I'm in: So, recently life kind of issued me challenge of sorts, that I have to complete by the end of next week*

, or as far as I currently know, I'll lose out on it forever; and I decided to go for it. I hadn't brought it up yet because I figured a week would be plenty of time to do it with how my schedule usually ends up. Like, I'll still be able to recap things and make quick responses in discussion threads when I get the chance, but main posts will be sparing.

... Well, today I figured out at work that my boss is finally giving me those additional hours I've been asking for... This same upcoming week. So between work on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and next Sunday, the weekly thing I'll have going on with friends on Friday, and trying to complete this challenge, my free time just got shot to hell until either week after next or I complete the challenge, whichever comes first. What this means here is that I'll barely be able to post, if at all.

For Galaxy here, Blue will just keep spectating the meeting, then go be busy with business. Hrof will go on the mission and follow Solaris's orders unless she either orders him to do something stupid or orders him to, for some reason, shoot unarmed civilians. (One of the Grexians' rules about things people hiring them can't order them to do.)

Glossary of Terms (So Far)

Everyone who wants to contribute write up a brief entry and I'll put it up here. Link to this post will be on the first page.

Amalah: The oldest known space-faring nation. Comprised of the species of the same name, beings with six legs and tails ending in blunt bones. A constitutional monarchy. Consists of three stars.

Free Mind Society: A nation run by a representative council. Mostly confined to a small segment of their planet and it's moon.

Grexian Empire: A nation formed by a lost human colony, that remains largely hidden from the galaxy at large. Comprised of the Grexia System.

He-Tai Nation: A nation founded by a quadrupedal reptilian race. Governed by an official elected for life. Comprised of 6 stars.

Jiptor Empire: An aggressively expansionist empire ruled by an emperor. Populated by the bipedal reptiles called jiptor. Comprised of 7 stars.

Levant: A nation comprised almost entirely of human clones created after a revolt inside the Verandi Empire. The government is run by a council of elected officials from among each of the clone types and a chairman elected by the people at large. Comprised of 2 stars.

Luminose: A world of the Verandi Empire. The sole moon of the planet Saffron and a source of industry for their star system.

Norb Network: An independent sentient neural network that interacts with the world through it's technological and cybernetically enhanced biological interfaces.

Rakasha Consulate: A nation formed by the inhabitants of the Ras System. The capital is Ras Abiza.

Saffron: A world of the Verandi Empire. It is the most populated planet in the nation and and the dominant trade and cultural center. It has one moon, Luminose.

Sirian Union: An interstellar federation populated by the Sirian species. Third largest nation by territory.

Solar Republic: An interstellar republic populated mainly by humans. Largest nation by territory.

Triple Alliance: An interstellar republic formed by three species whose stars were close enough to each other for each to be aware of the existence of alien life long before they actually met each other. The Alliance is populated by the herbivorous tidanels, the carnivorous fasir, and the omnivorous aht. Comprised of 4 stars.

Verandi Empire: An interstellar monarchy populated mainly by humans. Second largest nation by territory. Also known simply as Verandi. The capital is the planet Zaphnath and it is currently ruled by Queen Amelia.

Verandi System: A binary star system and origin of the Verandi Empire. It has two planets, both inhabited; Zaphnath, the imperial capital, and it's twin planet of Paaneah.
