Okay, here are my two cents. Most shows I'm watching are awesome, though.
Favorites of the season: Witch Craft Works, Saki: The Nationals, Super Sonico, D-Frag, and Chuuni Ren.
Most disappointing: Magical Warfare. It just feels...dry. And that's sad, because I rarely place anime in this category.
Magi, Kill La Kill, Gundam Build Fighters, Samurai Flamenco, Tokyo Ravens, Log Horizon and Strike The Blood from last season are going on nicely, as well.

Okay, been looking at the wiki pages on this site on the recent anime. It seems like a lot of them launched simultaneously with a manga version. Was it like that before?
It's fairly normal for original anime to have manga spinoffs start around the same time, yes
Does it count as an "original anime" if they were released at the same time though? >.> But anyway, I see, okay.
The manga versions of anime original shows are cheap cash-ins. No one takes them seriously.
Well clearly some people do, or else they wouldn't cash-ins. :T
The point of the manga version is often to either to expound upon stuff the anime couldn't or didn't care to cover, or to promote the show/franchise by running in a magazine that it's target audience is already reading.
They also serve as a way to benchmark new manga artists/authors in an environment with very low risk to the publisher - They're part of the promotional budget, not in the position of coming up with one on their own.
Meanwhile Mikakunin De Shinkoukei continues to be one of better shows of the season. Not to mention the best OP and ED.
it's definitely one of the best of the original shows (discounting continuations) of this season, I agree.
though I feel we'll soon need some form of guide or cheat sheet to distinguish Hakuya's emotional state.
It's... not really that hard, y'know.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialOK, Wizard Barristers is a pretty strong contender for trainwreck of the season now. The tonal shifts in the latest episode were magnificent to behold.
What's precedent ever done for us?I take it that doesn't mean it turned for the better, for what was already a show on shaky grounds...
Check out my fanfiction!Barristers was pretty schizophrenic to begin with, but yeah, I agree.
that's a damn shame.
though I think the real train wreck of the season is Mahou Sensou. there is just no explanation of what the characters are doing, and the plot jumps from set piece to set piece without any logic behind them. plus, the characters are all uniformly horrible and shallow, including the OP Designated Protagonist. it's like they lost half the narrative when translating it into an anime.

Can I assume that means the light novels were better?
"And you must be Jonathan Joestar!" - SueIt would be rather difficult for them to be worse. Although I'm not sure how good they can be considering what I've seen. (Not sure how Isoshima could be anything other than incredibly annoying)
Apparently even the author of Mahou Sensou thought an adaptation was a bad idea.
Why didn't none of you told me that D-Frag! is actually amazing?!
That D-Frag is amazing. You should check it out.
We haven't?
Check out my fanfiction!A bit late in the day but I must say that Z/X Ignition is turning out to be a lot better than I expected. It does start out slow but it does have some nice characters and Ayase backstory in the latest episode was very good especially the shot of her and Zieger going Vlad the Impaler on a group of Angels
I've kept up with that series up to the previous episode or something. Decided to wait until season end before picking it up again, since I've got a lot of stuff on my schedule, and anime isn't on top of that. But it's more interesting than it seemed in the beginning. Well, a little, at least. It did have a relatively indicative first episode.
Check out my fanfiction!
I seriously and honestly whish I could find it as funny as you guys do. however I only feel pain in my whole body when watching it and I'm not kidding. Maybe it is because I have an almost religious admiration towards Mazinger because of being the Trope Namer for one of my favorite anime genres, I don't know. I only know I find Robot Girls Z highly offensive
