Sorry I haven't been on guys. I been hosting a college friend who is visiting this weekend. All I can say is that this ep is FUNNY AND GREAT, probably among my top 5 favorites of this season so far.

Yeah, at no point did ANYPONY say "it's a stallion in a dress." it was "it's Big Mac in a dress"

Also here's a beef I have.

Mac is not trans.

Trans means someone who wants to be referred to and sees him/herself as the opposite gender. Cross-dressing means someone who just dresses like that of the opposite gender with no identity issues.

Yeah, I seriously think everyone not only knew he was a guy, they also knew it was Big Mac.

The fact is, the former situation has not happened in Equestria, so there's no data for how they would react. But if this episode was any indication, they would probably understand.

That's what I said. People who conflate the two (and that unfortunately includes some who were offended by the episode) are doing some harm.

Nah, I just brought it up because Kegi was talking about it. Good to have open discussions.

Continuing on with FFV.

The Bard, of all classes, is almost hilariously useful. Why? Two words: Romeo's Ballad. It's a song, which means that it costs no MP to use and targets the entire enemy party. It casts Stop. And it has a surprisingly high success rate. It even works on almost all the bosses I've used it on up to this point, completely trivializing them since once it works the first time, all you need to do is have the rest of your team beat them up while you keep your Bard in reserve to sing again if they break out of it.

I also like how seriously the game doesn't take itself. There are a few dramatic moments, but most of the time if the party is speaking, then there's something to lighten the mood.

Also, Gilgamesh is great and his theme is just awesome.

I saw some of the other posts here talking about it and head that tumblr got triggered by the episode (surprising noone/pony).

Is there anything that part of tumblr wont get triggered by?

Yeah, I assumed that the main reason the disguise failed was mainly because they all knew Big Macintosh. Especially because, you know, he usually helps run the thing, which means that:

1. Everyone there is basically guaranteed to be pretty familiar with him.

2. Big Mac happens to not be around this year.

3. He disappears at exactly the same time that a mare who looks almost exactly like Big Mac appears for the first time.

4. Said mare is competing with Big Mac's little sister.

I mean, at that point, it would be a huge surprise if it wasn't Mac.

Plus Big Mac has a rather distinctive build and look that's really hard to hide.

Still, his disguise could have been worse. He could have forgot to cover up his cutie mark, which would have got him found out right away (ponies don't tend to have identical marks, do they?)

@Mudkips: Some of the background ponies have identical marks, particularly ones created earlier in the show's run. The ones I can think of are the "Time Lord" ponies who have hourglass cutie marks, such as Doctor Whooves, Minuette, and probably some others I don't know the fan-created names of.

But that's a good point, since most ponies do have unique cutie marks.

Well background ponies tend to have duplicate cutie marks, especially in season 1 when they were all palette swaps.

As for tumblr, I don't understand why everone always talks about it like it's nothing but social justice warriors and needless drama. I guess I jus don't hangout in the right tumblrs. The only one I go to is su3su2u1, whice is awesome.
