My writing's slow 'cause I'm lazy and haven't kept to that twenty minutes a day thing like I wanted. 'cause I'm lazy.

I don't know what his name is. I think he muttered it at me, but I really wasn't listening. I just call him Red because of his hair.

I'm gonna be streaming in a few minutes, btw, if anyone wants to join me. I have one thing to finish up, then I'm just gonna be taking requests because I'm through my backlog and don't feel like working on a new comic page right now. Link is below in my sig.

@Dark: you mean you're having trouble remembering what you wrote for your previous chapter in the round robin? Or are you talking about some other story?

If it's the RR, why not find your prior chapter and reread it?

My rate of writing is a pretty big crap shoot. I often pass up opportunities to work on it because it's one of those times where I feel like anything creative is a worthless endeavour.

I find you keep up a better pace writing than I keep up with reading.

@Curoi: As in general writing. Combination of growing apathy and fatigue if I don't exercise that constantly.

Pannic: I think that might be because you're often busy reading/doing other stuff. >.>

I tend to average something like 2000-3000 words per three weeks, which would look pretty sad in Nano.

Damn,I thought I didn't think of myself as a good writer.Now I see that several of the guys in the thread think they're not that great or what they're working on is bad.

I feel bad for people who do art or writing and they don't think very highly of themselves or/and their work.As long as you're making some people happy and not getting a lot of hate for your work,then you should be happy.Sure you may not be a praised as much as others,but hey,at least some people like your work.

Teeth: Perhaps. If I were to extrapolate by just counting all revisions as more words written, I still doubt it would go much higher than 10k-15k. Unless I cheat and copy-paste the word "chicken" fifty-thousand times or something, but that kind of defeats the purpose of doing anything like that.

Scott: Problem is that it often seems like it doesn't make people happy because they can't even be bothered to look at it (and with as much media as there is around, this has a very high probability of happening). Sure, there's probably lurkers, but without feedback, everything just feels dead and desolate. And in all honesty, I'd rather have seething hate directed my way then apathy of that kind. At least that way, I know my stuff did enough to evoke a reaction of some kind.

Really, at this point I'm writing more because I'm bored and feel obligated to finish what I started than because there's much satisfaction involved.

This thread is getting more dreary.Unfortunately I have nothing to post to lighten the mood.

Honestly,as long as I know people see my work,I'm glad.I'm happy about being noticed.

But with that being said,I don't just wanna be praised.I want to know what I can fix.I want to know how can I be better.I wanna know what I'm doing wrong.Being bashed as a loser isn't what I want,nor do I want to be praised the shit out of and here how amazing I am.I don't need a big or small ego.I just wanna entertain some peeps,but for me to do that I need to know what I can do to improve as a entertainer.I need to know how I can be better.

I honestly don't know if I care about writing. I think I did once, but there's so much doubt and anxiety it doesn't feel worth it, even if I feel bad for not doing it.

Managed to get my Christmas shopping in before the big rush. Well at least for two people I'm getting gifts for, one I managed to get today and the other I need to get as part of a Secret Santa that I'm doing.

I've been enjoying writing recently.Don't know why,but I really like to now.Ma always said I made great stories as a kid,I'm guessing cause I'm imaginative.But I feel like she might've just been trying to make me feel less silly about writing a story where I turned in to a anteater(note:I don't hate that I wrote something that silly,but I do wonder where the flying fuck my brain was at when I was a kid.).

I enjoy it too. I have a policy of only writing stuff that I enjoy writing, so even if nobody ever reads it, at least the process was fun.

That's a real good outlook on writing.

Unfortunately, I can't adopt that policy because it doesn't work for me, otherwise I would have long ago. I have somewhat similar entertainment goals, for me it's all about having an impact of some sort. I feel good when I know it had an effect on someone, which means there's little use in trying to pat myself on the back.
