Warhammer 40k sign up sheet

This is the sign up thread for a hybrid of Death Watch, Only War, and Dark Heresy. You can be any part of the Imperium forces, except Grey Knights or Primarchs, because they would break the game. Please note that all space marine character have been seconded to the Death Watch, so you can be a black shield if you want. I'll make an example character sheet that I'll probably end up having in the game.

• Name: Jarvan Ironfoundersson.
• Age: 520
• Organization: Iron Hands techmarine aka iron father.
• Appearance: A man with close cropped black hair, two bionic eyes, and an artificial, steel jaw. Jarvan wears artificer armor in Death Watch black with his chapter's sigil on his shoulder pad.
• Reason for being a part of the team: Was sent with a small number of marines from various squads to be under the command of an inquisitor requesting space marine aid. Originally joined the Death Watch seventy years ago after requesting transfer.
• Weapons(at the start of rp, can change later): power ax, bolt pistol, krak grenades, frag grenades, servo harness, bolt gun with custom rounds.

• Name: Bjorn Thorkellsson.
• Age: 400+
• Organization: Space Wolves Long Fang.
• Appearance: Huge and hairy, like any self-respecting Fenrisian. Has several scars from previous encounters with the Emperor's enemies and wears black armor with Space Wolves pauldron.
• Reason for being a part of the team: Prayed to the Emperor for aid against a particularly large Squiggoth which had eaten most of his squad. After the Emperor-Allfather granted him victory against the beast, signed up for Deathwatch duty to fulfill his oath, ridding the galaxy of the monstrous creatures it contains.
• Weapons: Heavy weapon (Heavy bolter/plasma cannon/missile launcher/lascannon etc.), grenades, power axe.

• Name: Viktoriya de Montferrat
• Age: 35
• Organization: Sister Militant of The Order of the Bloody Rose.
• Appearance: A woman with shoulder length platinum-blonde hair, grey eyes and an aquila tattoo above her left breast. She also has a thin scar running beneath her left eye.
• Reason for being a part of the team: A band of Dark Eldar raiders enslaved the entire population of the city she was born in. She witnessed countless atrocities and developed a deep and abiding hate for the Dark Eldar. She was discovered by a team of Adeptas Sororitas that had pursued the Dark Eldar to that Shrine World but had gotten there too late. The next 15-20 years saw her go out on missions that focused on purging xenos and traitors, though she practically volunteered herself on missions involving Dark Eldar.
• Weapons: Bolter, Power Sword, Krak Grenades, Power Dagger

Obviously, that's why I put slashes. I think I'll go with heavy bolter for now.

Name: Mordred.

Age: 524

Organization: Black Templar Sword Brethren.

Appearance: A bald, heavily scarred Caucasian man with brown eyes and 5 service studs on the left side of his forehead. If it's allowed, he wears Deathwatch Terminator armor with the Crux Terminatus on the left pauldron. If that's not allowed, he wears Deathwatch Artificer armor with the Black Templars symbol on the left pauldron. He usually wears his helmet.

Reason for being a part of the team: He really hates xenos and wants to destroy the enemies of man beyond all else, and the Deathwatch happens to do that a lot. Also, he doesn't trust the Inquisition and wants to make sure their internal power struggles don't interfere with the Emperor's Work.

Weapons: If the terminator armor is allowed: Dual Lightning Claws.

If it isn't: a bolter, grenades, and a power sword.

I'll allow the terminator armor, just means you might get hit by meaner stuff. If we get enough people we'll probably start out on a space hulk, so your guy will have fun with that.

Is it possible to make an ultramarine who doesn't use guns? (Weilds two relic blades, often goes helmetless and has a bolt pistol in the off-case he uses it?)

yes...yes it is, but you realize that you'd be a member of a chapter that forced its doctrine on the other legion's, and that two of the more violent opposers of the codex astartes are in this already. If I were you, I'd be a member of the Blood Jaguars, or Doom Eagles. But, then again, it would be fun to watch conflict unfurl.

I was thinking he could be a bit of a Warrior Priest, believing that since he is brave, and courageous, the Emporer of Mankind will protect him, a bit like the Penitent Engines, only less extreme.

Works for me, just make up a character sheet. Once one or two others create characters we'll be ready to launch this ship.

Space Marine chapter wise, Doom Eagles, Storm Wardens, Blood Jaguars, really depends on what you're looking for. If you want a warrior priest, go with a chaplain from, like, The Abyssal Jaws, that would be cool.

• Age: 589
• Organization: Ultramarine
• Appearance: Menoth has buzz-cut brown hair and almond colored eyes. he wears Ultramarine Armor on his massive frame, as he towers over even the other Ultramarines. His shoulder pads bear prayers to The emperor. He never wears a Helmet unless he absolutely must due to the enviroment.
• Weapons: Menoth weilds two Relic Blades which he easily wields, one in each hand. He also has a bolt pistol at his Hip, however, he believes that the Emporer blesses those who show courage. And Shooting something from a distance, is not courage.

• Name: Adolphus Feneriks
• Age: 380
• Organization: Red Scorpions
• Appearance: Rather handsome for a Space Marine, with fairly soft, but not overly so features, hazel eyes, a well-trimmed mustache and a full head of blonde hair, not too short but not too long as for an enemy to grab a hold of it.
• Reason for joining: Despite his Chapter Indoctrinating hatred for anything impure and the Mutant into his head, his personal desire to see thousands of Xenos dead at his feet with hundreds of bolt round wounds each in their bodies is far stronger than to see Mutants and witches burning at the stake. The reason for his hate stems back to his boyhood when the Dark Eldar raided his village and slaughtered/kidnapped/raped everyone he knew.
• Weapons: A boltgun with an 80-round drum magazine, several sickle clips of specialist ammunition (If you're asking, they are: Kraken, Inferno, Hellfire and Stalker shells) and a conversion kit to turn it into a Stalker-pattern sniper boltgun. He also carries stun grenades, krak grenades and a chainsword.
