Anyone here read Digimon fanfiction? I've found some really good stuff, and I don't know, I want to fangirl about it. None of my friends read the stuff.

edit: somehow I missed the one of the page before this. so, uh, ignore me. *blush*

I read a neat one called "Legend of the D-Knights" before. I think that's what it was called, anyway.

Isn't there already a Digimon fanfic thread on one of the back pages, though?

Yeah, but that's just for the Tamers Forever series.

Speaking of Tamers, I've got a crossover with Tamers and Fate Stay Night called Fate/Digital Hazard. I've only just updated with the fourth chapter where Rika and Renamon basically go turncoat and join Caster's side, plus I've been working on other stuff, you know how it is. I've also been planning another Fate crossover, except this time with Savers. Considering the Digital World Expedition and the Fourth Holy Grail War both occur ten years before the main events of both Savers and Fate Stay Night, I'm surprised I didn't think of it sooner.

I've also been considering a Savers / Attack On Titan crossover, but I'll pass on that until Ao T is actually finished, and I have enough on my plate as it is. Regardless, for fun, I decided to write up a brief snippet on a possible scene...

Masaru swung through the air once again, slamming his fist into a titan's knee, toppling the monstrous being in one go, enabling a member of his squad to move in and slice the abomination's weak spot with ease. Normally, Masaru would simply opt for punching such creatures in the head, but titans were creatures that made his usual tactics much less effective. After all, they could regenerate, and the weak spot on the back of the neck was the only known way to kill them. It was much more effective to use his Digisoul-enhanced strength to topple them first and provide his comrades or himself an opportunity to kill the creatures with minimal risk using the disposable blades.

So even if using his bare hands to tear out the nape wasn't terribly practical compared to using the blades, Masaru's immense strength was still a vital asset. The soldiers sticking by him felt far safer in his presence, he had already shown that, as long as a titan hadn't already gotten you in its mouth, Masaru could knock its block off and save you from otherwise certain death, enabling one to escape and retreat. Masaru could even deal with multiple titans at once, he had an effective handle on the 3D Maneuver Gear system, and used it to great effect with his momentum to augment his already potent punches and kicks. His own gear was powered by Digisoul rather than gas, the engineers had been more than eager to make use of this seemingly limitless energy source shortly after learning of it, and that was one of many modifications to the 3D Maneuver Gear to enable him to utilize his abilities more effectively in tandem with his military equipment.

Agumon, since Masaru's digivice was damaged, had to try and keep up with the squad on foot. Thankfully, the titans, due to their simple-minded priorities, did not register the Digimon as a human or a valid threat, enabling him to get around without risk of being attacked by titans, which made him useful for scouting ahead and performing sneaky hit-and-run firebombing on unsuspecting titans - the giants could regenerate, but they were certainly not fireproof, especially if the fireballs hit the nape.

Once all the titans in the vicinity were exterminated, the squad regrouped, and spotted another couple of squads gathering on some nearby buildings. Among them were a few familiar faces, including survivors from the 104th. Jean looked rather relieved to see him. "Well, well, seems you've actually avoided getting your people killed."

"What's the situation?" Masaru asked, looking over towards a nearby storehouse several blocks away, which was being swarmed by titans.

"Well, we're running out of gas, and the idiots in there have gone and holed themselves up, there's just too many titans," Jean sighed. "we're gonna need your help on this one. Mikasa was supposed to be leading this one, but I don't know where the hell she's gone, Armin and Connie went to go find her."

Masaru recognized a notable omission to that list of names. "Where's Eren?"

"Oh, crap, I knew you'd ask... I'm gonna be frank. Eren is dead. Got himself killed saving Armin from a titan, apparently he got swallowed whole," Jean frowned. "Not a fate I'd wish on anyone, even if he was an idiot."

Masaru was stunned. He had gotten to know Eren over the last several months during training, and his dream to kill all the titans simply amounted to nothing? He snarled, clenching his fist, "damn it... Fine! I'll continue his dream of killing all of the titans, myself! For his memory! These monsters kill humans for no reason... I won't forgive them!"

Then, something triggered. Masaru could feel his link between Agumon strengthen, and his Digisoul funnel over that link. With his Digivice still damaged, it wasn't much, but it was good enough to evolve!

Agumon was surrounded by a bright light and stream of energy shaped like an egg, which grew rapidly until it became as large as the taller titans, "Agumon, evolve to...!" And then the egg shattered, with a roar, revealing the powerful form of - "GeoGreymon!" The muscular dinosaur slammed his tail onto the pavement. Masaru grinned, while the soldiers around him looked on in awe of GeoGreymon's size and form.

This did not go unnoticed by nearby titans, whom recognized the adult-level Digimon as a threat, mindlessly charging towards the huge reptile. GeoGreymon's eyes narrowed, charging as well, lowering his head, impaling the first titan in line on his horn, bowling over others in the process.

The titans were terrifying, bizarre mockeries of the human form. Their advantage over humans were their size, their regenerative abilities, and their limitless stamina in the sunlight. Against regular humans, there were an apex predator. But against a creature of equal size and greater strength, all these advantages were rendered null. They lacked the intelligence and ingenuity that enabled humanity to survive even when the odds were stacked against them. GeoGreymon, on the other hand, was an experienced combatant, with a body that was built for the express purpose of hunting beings of flesh.

As GeoGreymon's collection of dozens of sharp teeth, powerful jaws, hardened muscles, sharp claws and strong tail tore through flesh and shattered bones, it was clear that the titans were no longer the dominant predator. Regardless, attracted by the commotion, several more titans charged down the street, eager to eliminate the threat. GeoGreymon opened his mouth, which glowed a bright orange, "Mega Flame!"

The charging titans didn't stand a chance when the Digimon unleashed his powerful flame breath. The abominations were utterly roasted, the survivors easily picked off one by one, too burned to properly defend themselves. GeoGreymon roared in triumph.

Jean was utterly pale, glancing at Masaru. "I am so, so glad you two are on our side. Tell him to cut back on the flame breath, though, we don't want to burn down the entire town."

"Heh, alright! Let's go, Agumon!" Masaru grinned, as he got moving towards the storehouse.

"You got it, Aniki!" GeoGreymon spoke, as he began to charge...

This would probably be followed by an absolute massacre outside the guardhouse, and then GeoGreymon and Titan!Eren beating the absolute crap out of each other.
