As the Kaiju's oversized fangs clatter against Wild Ronin's right arm, she bring her left one forward and empties the clip (2,2,4) but the off-balance Jaeger only manages to make one of the acid rounds connect onto the monster's lower back (2) and only grazingly too. But it does seem the monster's writhing is mostly due to the flames (1) which sputter out and die as it thrashes along the ground. It managed to avoid a lot of damage by remembering to stop, drop and roll. Or at least charge, bite and flail.

Pivoting her torso to remove her right arm from the monster's toothy grasp, Wild Ronin immediately bring the arm back up (8) and grabs hold of the oversized horn jutting from Monosugoi's forehead. The monster tries to wriggle free of the grip (9) and slips away.

Transport copters clasp their magnetic winches onto a few of the larger transport trucks, pulling valuable cargo and personnel away as directed by the on-ground civilian. The three divisions of military vehicles that had been escorting the convoy open fire (10,2)(7) and hit home, but the shells and explosives bounce off the Kaiju's scales like everything else delivered to it this turn.

• No damage to any parties!
• Wait what.
• Flame effect ended!

I knew I should have put a potential plan forwards before you killed off that stupid monster. I had a bunch of good ideas and everything! |:-(

I'd just like to point out the thing's resilience isn't even that high and I did add the bonus from mutual hatred.

Your damage rolls just sucked that bad.

Hmmm... what are the chances of us managing to stomp on it to hold it in place to pump the rest of our fire rounds into it?

If I wasn't afraid of penalty, I'd suggest planting a boot on its throat and then shooting it.

I don't think we have to worry about the penalty as much as I thought we did. Highlight shirow's post

You know, now that I think about it you could fire the mortar at a range of 1. It has a minimum range because it fires in an arc and it's meant to rain down on people. But you could just shove it in someone's face and pull the trigger too.

Of course you'd get caught in the explosion by default...

I don't think risking the mortar is a good idea.
