Lets go with plan Shoot it Again
It comes. The corrupter comes. Don't let it touch the tower lest all reality crumble.Plan Shoot it again has both bullets and a bulleted list.
Lets do it.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersLocking it in.
Before Gororon can even move again Wild Ronin empties her revolvers (9,9,7)(4,9,10!) into the beast. The standard rounds hit the chest (4) left arm (1) and legs (1) but are only glancing. The two indendiaries strikes the chest (8) and legs (1). The Kaiju's torso burns brightly, the white skin and armor charred black.
Desperately, the monster leaps forward to grab his opponent (8) and wraps all four hands around Wild Ronin's chassis. It grips tightly, completely cutting the Jaeger off from movement.
The IFO's appear in the sky, coming to a complete stop on a dime despite previously moving at obscene speeds. There's no sonic boom to be heard, though. The Kamakura Railgun fires another round (2,3) but none of the three alien machines are struck. The IFO's begin hovering towards the ground corps but from above the four flights of Ninja Drones swoop in and unleash a hail of fire (7,4,2,5) two of the IFO's are pockmarketed with bullet holes but do little but wobble a bit in the air before returning fire (2,9,6) causing a dozen of the shiny new fighters to explode and crash into the ground.
- Gororon takes 8 damage to chest!
- Gororon take 1 damage to left arms!
- Gororon takes 2 damage to legs!
- Wild Ronin grappled!
- Ninja Attack Drone Squad destroyed!
-
Oh sure you get a crit in with the new charts and it fizzles.
There's pretty much only two things you can do while defensively grappled; try and overpower the grapple (Uses power, switches things so now you have him grappled) or try and escape the grapple (Uses mobility, disengages from it.)
It looks like an even bet either way but putting the shoe on the other foot might open some opportunities.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersPlan Power Surge: The Revision
- Reverse the grapple
- Toss Gororon to the ground
- If at all possible, start bashing its face in. If not, railguns.
- Have the Ninja drones fire at the IFO's.
- If IFO's remain, have the conventionals fire at them.

"The Stick has sentimental value. It's like an enormous, hideous teddy bear we can kill things with." -rikalousWell, we got a three in both scores. And presumably they both go up against its power rating.
Plan Let's Wrassle MOFO
- Overpower the grapple
- Ninjas keep shooting the IF Os
- Conventionals fire on any IF Os that get in range
Thought to perhaps do later: Ammo caches hidden in places so we can reload in the middle of a fight.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersKaiju don't have a power rating.
Course "Evolution" is basically the exact same thing for them.
But no. Power goes up against power evolution and mobility goes up against mobility.
What would happen if we went for a headbutt to disorient the Kaiju?
It comes. The corrupter comes. Don't let it touch the tower lest all reality crumble.Really? Huh. Maybe we should go for disengage.
Click Click Boom BoomGo for the chest. It's taken more damage than the rest of the body put together.
, You could attempt an attack at a severe penalty.

"Severe penalty." I don't like those words applied to stuff we do.
Heartbreaker
- Disengage from grapple.
- Called shots to punch chest
- Conventionals and railgun keep shooting at IFOs.
I'm going for Plan Heartbreaker.
"The Stick has sentimental value. It's like an enormous, hideous teddy bear we can kill things with." -rikalousI'm good with this. I have a feeling it's got a higher evolution then mobility so we probably have a better chance disengaging.
I wouldn't be surprised if the four arms also give it a grapple bonus though.

Click Click Boom BoomI'll lock it in if there are no objections.
Wild Ronin tries to wriggle free from the Kaiju's grip (1) while Gororon fights to keep the Jaeger still (10). To say the fight is one-sided is an understatement. The Monster picks the Jaeger up like it was a doll, wraps all four of its muscular arms around it and squeezes hard. (4,1,2,3) Somehow, Wild Ronin manages to slip into a gap in Gororon's arms to avoid the worst of the pressure. However, the monster isn't done with her yet. He hefts her over his head, the Jaeger sprawled across all four of his hands, and hollers before throwing the Jaeger a couple hundred meters right into the ground corps, who had begun targeting the IFO incursion. (2,4,5,6) Sirens blare as Wild Ronin lands hard on her right arm and screams echo as two thousand tons of metal crush another of the Jeep squadrons.
Above the Ninja Attack Drones continue their dogfight against the flying saucers. (8,4,8) One of the machines seems to become overwhelmed by the continuous weathering of its armor and drops silently into the ground for a crash landing. The remaining saucers fire back (7,6) and another flight of drones disintegrate leaving two left.
In the chaos, only half of the ground corps is able to fire upon the high-flying saucers. (9,5)(1,6,7,3) but they do manage to down one. The collapsing machinery inside shears the machine rather neatly in two.
Wild Ronin picks herself back up and the two giants of the battle stare one another down.
- Wild Ronin takes 4 damage to chest!
- Wild Ronin takes 17 damage to right arm!
- Wild Ronin right arm destroyed!
- Rocket Jeep Squadron destroyed!
- Ninja Attack Drone Squadron destroyed!
- Two IFO's destroyed!
- Wild Ronin 200m from Gororon!

Well, frak...
Did it just...use Ronin as a weapon against our own troops?
And succeed?!
Oh hell no. This will not stand.

"We're home, Chewie."I suggest, if our arm is severed, that we pick it up and beat that MOTHER FUCKING KAIJU TO DEATH WITH IT!
Click Click Boom BoomFuck you so much
- Stab the kaiju in the chest with Wild Ronin's own right arm, or a conveniently sharp shard thereof.
- Conventionals and railguns keep dealing with the IFOs.
I was thinking something similar.

May I suggest we instead have the railgun shoot at the Kaiju before we swing at it with our own arm?
You know, priority targets, people?
"Right arm destroyed" is actually kind of pushing it.
The limb is still intact. It's just the armor plating around it is wrecked. The limb's still usable (With a penalty) but it's vulnerable. If the location is hit again, frame damage ensues. Frame damage is not something you want.
You probably couldn't use the revolver cannon either, but it's out of ammo anyways.
"Right arm disabled" and "Right arm severed" are the ones you want to look out for.
As much as I too would love to catch us a frisbee, I'm on board with plan Shoot It Again.
