It's the classic Just a Cast and a Caption. To me this is one of those hard-to-illustrate tropes, so I'd be better off picture-less, but you never know...

Blank Untill Pretty Kickass Image Suggested for me.

Current:

Saving the universe, one delivery at a time.

I think it's kinda confusing.

Keep Until Better Image Suggested. It illustrates the trope well enough; the characters look both silly (comic) and otherworldly (cosmic), which is what the trope is about. Showing an entire cast is clearly not "just a face and a caption".

... that whole page is a mess. The description is twice the length of the examples. And from what I can gather... the trope is... parody?

The name also doesn't make sense. As Spark 9 indicated, it makes it sound like it's supposed to be about space but... there's nothing about space necessary (seems to be a play off of Cosmic Horror Story but its actual relation isn't clear at all).

Yes, it is a mess, but that's a job for the Trope Repair Shop. I suggest going there first to get a clear definition of the page, and after that we can decide whether the image still fits or not.

TRS topic made.

FYI, I'm personally recommending we just axe the page altogether.

I'm voting to table this discussion until the TRS thread figures out what this trope is supposed to be.

Robots, ray guns, and aliens... are you sure you think it's JAFAAC?

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.

[up]I sent it here because, to my surprise, the description had little to nothing to do with comical futuristic space adventures.

Like they've said before, we'd rather wait until the TRS decides what the hell is this trope.

[up][up] It's clearly worse than JAFAAC, because the name and the image seems to create a very different idea of what the trope is than the (still poorly defined) description. But yeah, let's just table this until TRS wraps up.

... though hopefully we won't come back to it as I really think this should be cut.

Ax the image. Futurama is a perfect example, but the image shows absolutely nothing but the main characters, who are neither in a futuristic setting, nor are doing anything funny.

[up]The robot and the raygun makes it futuristic, and that guy isn't wearing any pants.

I agree it's futuristic.

But the trope has nothing to do with being futuristic.

That depends. One guy in the TRS thread views it as "science fiction comedy".

...can we just lock this thread already? There's no point in debating what a trope's definition should be in this forum, that's what TRS is for.

Yeah, this is spinning its wheels just as badly as the TRS thread is, And That's Terrible. Locking up.
