Poor Image: Ten Minute Retirement

The image appears to either have resize issues, or it was artificially sharpened a little bit too much in my opinion (the text hurts my eyes).

This comic doesn't technically induce Just A Face And A Caption, as it implies even without the caption that he returns to the team.

Because of this, could someone upload a better image of this, if possible?

My Google skills failed me (they're either too blurry, off center in its rotation, suffering from a similar fate to this one, too small or either of these combinations).

Yeah, I didn't find any better versions either. It kind of does need a quality upgrade, though.

I can read the original but that's certainly a clearer version. I support using it instead.

Swapped it in. Funnily enough, it's got the exact same size, despite being a different crop.

I would say it's somewhat large, but it's necessary for the text to be readable, and cropping a cover is usually a bad idea aesthetically.

The main issue I have with this is that the only aspect the pic shows is the "retirement"; the "ten minute" is completely reliant on the caption.

I got it from the picture as the image implies he came back, you know, being a Marvel superhero comic, and thus, since they're known for Status Quo Is God...

I agree. I'd rather something that somehow illustrates that he comes back.

Fair enough.

Perhaps a compromise and have two pictures in one: the cover and what you've suggested.

That, or a panel in the comic stating he's retiring and another when he's coming back.

I think the current image would fit better for Face–Heel Turn and is way better than the image on that page

I'm not seeing it either...there's nothing there indicating a turn from good to evil, merely "take this team and shove it!"

Yeah, doesn't illustrate Heel–Face Turn at all.

Clearly shows he doesn't plan on doing any super-ing, since he's snapping his bow and all. He's want that even if he was going to be villainous.

I found the issue where Hawkeye comes back to the Avengers...gonna see if I can come up with something or if we should just link it in the caption.

EDIT: Okay, this is about the only good version of the cover I've found that isn't watermarked...I'm good to just link this in the caption (probably uploaded with the plastic sleeve cropped out) and call this done. Thoughts?

That would be a before/after pic, yes? Going to have to see that to judge it.

I'd be down with a side to side pic, with a caption of "Or rather, 63 issue retirement."

If I get time tonight, I'll try to put that together.

Okay, a side-by-side of those two covers isn't going to work, the text in each is completely illegible at 175 px. 275 is about as small as I can get it and have things be legible for a vertical version.

Let's preview how the vertical version looks.

Or, we could make an exception and have two images.

Someone will have to build that later, I'm not going to have a chance to work on it tonight.
