Eh, not interested in it one bit. Man, Stephen would've hated this.
BTW, I certainly did not expect Squidward's Suicide/Red Mist Squidward, of all things, to be referenced.

In this interview Brian Robbins took part in, he mentions that Kamp Koral will be a "limited summer series". In other words, it's a mini series and not a regular series. I'm not sure if this will be more accepted, but it does ease things up a bit.
I'm neutral to Kamp Koral. At least, it is an interesting idea to me.
"Scooby Dooby Doo!"Rewatched this for the first time in awhile.
I don't even like football and this is just one of the most precious moments of Spongebob. One of the few times Squidward ever succeeds.
It's widely agreed to be the most brilliantly written episode because, while the plot is inherently about Squidward, almost the entirely of the cast receive attention and are given roles and lines that iconically showcase their unique traits.
From the top of my head:
- Spongebob is the lead singer and inspires the band with his naive idealism when Squidward becomes depressed.
- Patrick plays drums and has the most memetic moments due to his clumsiness ("Mayonnaise", getting his ass-kicked by Sandy).
- Sandy's ferocity lets her beat up Patrick twice with Patrick's own trombone.
- Pearl plays guitar in the finale.
- Mr. Krabs and the Blue British Fish have their "Big Meaty Claws" moment. Krabs plays guitar in the finale.
- Plankton genuinely sets aside his rivalry with Krabs for once. He plays a triangle, has a memetic harmonica moment, and then is the keyboardist in the finale. He actually seems happy and enthusiastic through out the episode instead of being grumpy and cynical.
- Two of the fish citizens are the memetic flag twirlers.
- Mrs. Puff plays guitar in the finale.

Football has pretty much nothing to do with...even the song at the end.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I'm not sure if soccer championship final games have elaborate "half-time shows", which was the occasion that the Bikini Bottomites were performing as.
It's context and comedic, but they could've played at a random stadium for all the difference it'd make.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Am I the only one that never really cared for that episode much? I know people love it due to the end song but I could never really get into it.
Most certainly the song is the reason people like it.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Burn the heretic... NAH. You are fine.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I personally think it's part of the peak of Spongebob's humor. Both this and Krusty Krab Training Video.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy. This is from a recent Sponge Bob episode. I can safely say I never expected a reference like this in the show.
They're out of ideas so better start milking the obscure references no one gets!
New theme music also a boxThe episode is called Spongebob in Randomland.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.x2 That's not the only obscure reference they make this Episode!
That's not obscure.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.If you scroll down this interview with Ramsey Naito, it's revealed that the idea behind Kamp Koral was apparently from Stephen Hillenberg, though it should be noted that current Sponge Bob showrunners Marc Ceccarelli and Vincent Waller are in charge of this series. It makes me wonder how much involvement he had in the idea before passing away .
I could have told you as much. I had heard stuff like this was coming not long before he died.
Better a spinoff with people who know the show in charge than people who don't, anyway.

Apparently, Russia will show a trailer for the 3rd Sponge Bob movie this Thursday.
There's a third movie. Where have I been.
I thought the franchise was supposed to end with the second.

Here's more information on the third Sponge Bob movie .
Oh, so this is what Kamp Koral is.
The name wasn't on-putting when seeing it by itself, but knowing it's that spin-off from before make it only slightly more interesting.
