Poor Image: We Are Struggling Together

An index card. Seriously. This has got to be one of the worst page images I've ever seen. I don't know what to replace it with, but ANYTHING has got to be better than this.

That is pretty terrible.

After reading the trope, what I thought of was showing a couple of people in the foreground obviously arguing and about to come to blows while a fully-armed army in the background advances toward them, obviously intending to attack the arguing pair.

Suggestion. Bottom row, first panel; possibly add in the panel prior to that OR the two ones after it.

I think the first one works.

I like that. Just want to see it against a white background.

I like that. If people think it's too texty, then I say we should convert the dialogue to quote format and use it to replace the current quote.

I think it would be a bigger improvement to use it as a page quotation.

8 works for me. The text makes the differences and the similarities in opinions clear.

8's not ideal for me, but its still a vast improvement over the, ergh, current.

Devil's advocate for the current: it IS a legit piece of artistic work from a legit humor website, no more primitive than XKCD, which we put on lots of pages as an image.

(I mostly agree that it's bad, but I can see some truth in the above argument.)

That's pretty much why I think it's a vaster improvement over the quotation, which I think should be pulled regardless.

^^ But it looks like a simple graph on an index card. It's not about the style; that could look awesome (somehow?) and it would still be a bad page image.

Heck, if it were an xkcd installment Randall's fans would accuse him of being unconscionably lazy that day.

So could we crop the current image and call it a quality upgrade?

That would not improve it. I vote just pull.

Alright, this is ready to call. If someone will provide the names of the other characters we can do up the quote and shut this down.

Left to right, Haley, Isamu, Thanh, Niu. Though I personally think Life Of Brian would make a better page quote (though not necessarily the trope naming scene, even though I think that WAS the quote at one point).
