I don't think there has been an umbrella thread on ethics and rationality yet, so here I am.
I have a question at the heart of many others. "That which can be destroyed by the truth, should be."
Why?
How do I prove the intrinsic value of Truth, beyond, say Happiness? Why is it not moral for me to leave people blissfully iognorant? Why is it not happy for me to let a perseon, say, believe in an afterlife it it helps them? Why is soma, and Brave New World in general the dystopia it obviously is to most of us?

Change, my dear, and not a moment too soon.
