Yes, I just now watched the movie. My mother was very strict about movie ratings growing up, so PG-13 was off-limits, and I just never thought to pick it up after that until my wife insisted. It's a good movie, and one that I likely would not have understood quite so well as a child. While the movie was funny and touching, they did a good job with the issues as well. Daniel and Miranda have legit issues that justify them not getting back together. Daniel's tendency to get Distracted by the Sexy while Mrs. Doubtfire subtly hinted that he may may not have been entirely faithful during his marriage. And frankly, while he matured, he matured in a way that made him independent from Miranda rather than grow with her. Lastly, watching those final court scenes as an adult, and after the recent hubbub over gay marriage, gives new meaning to the judge's speech. He's not saying that Daniel is irresponsible and two-faced as an actor; he's saying that he thinks Daniel is a transvestite and likely a homosexual, and therefore incapable of being a good parent. Given the earlier favorable depiction of Daniel's brother and his partner, I'm pretty sure that was wholly intentional.

On a side note, Daniel's obsession with his family is creepier since I watched One Hour Photo before this one. Minor thing which bugged me was the ease with which Daniel donned and doffed the latex prosthetics, but that's one of those acceptable breaks from reality, I guess.
