Oh damn, that's a great Signup Grey Star! Nearly forgot about Gods... Hmmm I think I'll edit my bio to add how Keiko does offerings to the God of Work and the God of Money to help power her split person technique.

Posting interest, and hoping I haven't come too late to join. Have a character concept, but it's still a little half-baked.

Right, then.

• Name: Daniel Hooke
• Age: Unknown. Has been known to his age to be 18, 45 or 400 depending on his mood.
• Gender: Male
• Race: Ghoul
• Appearance: Bald and grey-faced. Would be tall if he wasn't constantly hunched over, with very long arms and legs. Thin enough to look starved.
• Personality: Anti-social and irritable. It is fairly rare for him to get through a sentence without insulting somebody, and even rarer for him to openly express a positive opinion of anyone, unless he finds a way to phrase it as tearing down someone else. Long periods of silence and long-winded rants are both common. Intelligent and proud. Despite his demeanour, Hooke is fiercely loyal to both Masamune and the people who live there, and would be willing to sacrifice anything for their sakes. He will frequently begrudgingly volunteer for dangerous jobs before anyone one else has had a chance, and nothing is more certain to provoke one of his rants than a foreigner speaker badly of Masamune. Those who know him well have therefore learned to ignore his insults. Indeed, his insults are sometimes contradictory or nonsensical, such as his occasional complaints about Keiko's shameful laziness.
• Abilities: Hooke has deceptively strong physical capabilities, and his grip in particular is often described as vice-like. As a ghoul, he is capable of sapping the strength of those he touches, though this only happens if he wills it, and slowly. He is also capable surviving most injuries, as long as his head is intact. Most kinds of damage will mysteriously disappear around a day after they are inflicted, and nobody but Hooke knows why.
• Equipment: A pair of twin bracelets each with three lens of different sizes that he refers to as Hooke's Microscope. If he focuses on a target through the lens for three full seconds, a beam of light will shoot from them and attack to the target, and then contract, either pulling the target to Hooke or Hooke to the target.
• Skills: A studious researcher, but quick to dismiss all forms of equipment; preferring to focus on living beings. Amaterasu in particular fascinates him, but between his personality problems and unwillingness to cause her kind of harm, he hasn't gotten any real opportunities to study her. He is also often seen with a large bottle of poison, from which he drinks as if it were alcohol.
• History: He came to Masamune 10 years ago, and has since slowly but surely become a major part of the ship's background. His history before that is largely unknown; he claims to be an exile form Britain, but the reasons for this exile change every time he tells the story, and he occasionally reveals ignorance on matters that any former resident of Britain would understand.
