Does Shade have a Boom design?

If so, then yes. It's simply a matter of whether they want the character in or not. Rouge is not prominent anymore, and lost prominence really fast. She's not received all that well. Which is kind of sad, since she isn't a flat character by any means. But the games don't really develop her beyond Adventure 2 much, so it doesn't help. I mean, you still see the same person throughout each game, and her backstory was pretty much thrown into one game.

Another is her role; They have to make it work for the show. Because she's a more major character, just having her as a random thief won't work. She was designed as a major character(although became minor after 06, as she was always playable or prominent early on). And just throwing her among Shadow's team doesn't do much. He's not a super recurring character at all. Another factor is she isn't evil as presented, just more neutral and actually works on the side of good overall. That wouldn't fit easily in the Boom universe considering what the other characters are like.

Also, pretty sure she became unpopular fast due to having no more new characterization and staying the same way as before. Even in 06, which actually did give development here and there beyond Silver, she didn't really gain a thing. Heroes was the only other easy time to do so, and all they showed is her being herself, which is generally wanting all the world's jewels, but still caring about her friends.

Shade has much smaller chances then Rouge to show up. I'll say less than one percent of a chance. Due to copyright controversy, Shade only appeared in one game, one back-up comic promoting said game and nothing else ever again, and that's how things will probably stay.

More importantly, What makes you think they'll add one of the females to the show? They'll probably add Silver or even Jet. They'll probably even just make them expies of said characters.

Ok, I'm not saying it's never going to be a possibility, but it's very unlikely.

Honestly, the gender isn't really the point anyway. It's whether the character is heavily prominent or can fill a role they think will work. The ones in the show are also from the games anyway.

I doubt we'll see any not planned for the games.

I'm not saying that the gender matters, just that the characters we want and the characters we get are two different things that don't really matter. I would love to see Rouge or cream or Sally, but what I'll probably get is a character who's an expy of them or another, but I still love the show anyways. So in the end, it's just a wait and see situation.

I was going to say that's why Rouge would fit in the show, because of all the "Everyone's better at being selfish than at being good or evil" stuff they've got going on.

Oh, there's no question making her work wouldn't be too hard.

But characters seem to be "Game first" outside of possibly the robots only?

But hey, they made a character model for Vector, so I bet the real thing will show up soon.

Although, I don't think you have to worry, since Metal Sonic and Shadow were used mostly as combatants, while Vector will almost certainly be here for his personality.
