Bleach's artist is doing the artwork for the newest Sakura Wars game? Nice! It's sad the original artist didn't came back unless it had to do with being busy being a father (and people still remembering he was gonna marry his lover after finalizing his divorce with his 1st wife, only to cheat on his lover with a young cosplayer, and married the cosplayer after learning she's pregnant with his kid.)
lmao what a fuckup
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaHuh, so this is what Kubo has been up to recently. Anyway, I gained a interest in the series after Project X Zone, so I will keep an eye on the game.
While I'm looking forward to this game, quite a few voice actors in the series have passed away since the last game (i.e. Daisuke Gōri). I wonder how Jiro Ishii and Takaaki Suzuki are going to handle their characters.
Also, maybe Sega would create a remake of the first four video games in the style of Shin Sakura Wars and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, using CGI models and animation as seen in the announcement trailer.

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.Project Sakura Wars Devs On The Project's Beginnings, Getting Tite Kubo Onboard, And More
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Sega France posted a teaser trailer, but has since taken it down. The trailer is an early version, which include some deleted scenes not present in the final version.
Also, on a different note, I'm thinking Seijuro could be Suddenly Voiced in the Dating Sim scenes. And Famitsu's next issue, which will be published this Thursday in Japan will have more information on the new game.

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.Project Sakura Wars Famitsu developer interview tidbits, Oji Hiroi and Satoru Akahori comments
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests. With this exciting news, that game is going to be very interesting. As a matter of fact, I was first introduced to the series via the anime OVAs. I then played the first four games in Japanese and then the fifth game, and even got to watch some clips of the stage plays. Ever since, I've always been interested in the series.
Also, like I said, if Sega remasters the first four games, they may go the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy or Spyro Reignited Trilogy route (i.e. Sanzigen reanimating all of the cutscenes into 3D CGI), and maybe even re-record all of the dialogue and Kohei Tanaka's music. Thoughts?

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.Would be nice, but extremely unlikely
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaYeah at best I could maybe see the games getting straight ports to Steam.
This song needs more love. And not to mention that it's being developed by Sega CS Research and Development #2 (CS2, a.k.a. Sonic Team), which is the same development team that did all of the Sonic The Hedgehog video games up to this point. Probably some familiar faces like Shun Nakamura might show up.
Now, some of the Sakura Wars who were Put on a Bus between the fifth game and Shin Sakura Wars may end up dying offscreen (i.e. Bus Crash or The Character Died with Him) or may come back after a long absence (i.e. The Bus Came Back). Since Daisuke Gōri committed suicide back in 2010, his character Yokihiko Ota may end up getting recast or dying offscreen in this case. Thoughts?

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.Weekly Shonen Jump Previews Tite Kubo's New Sakura Wars Art
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Well, it seems that a Youtube user combined the original theme with the new theme. The first verse is sung by the Flower Division from the first few games and the chorus is also sung by the new Flower Division from Shin Sakura Wars.
Thoughts about this?

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.I can't say I'm a huge fan of the new character designs. Something about the 3Dness of the engine just looks really creepy to me.
Despite that I'm really looking forward to the new games. I remember being a huge fan years ago, buying imported PC copies of 1-4. Even bought a Wii largely to play 5.
I've been thinking: should we unmark all spoilers for the games, movie and the OVA series leading up to Shin Sakura Wars if it's absolutely necessary?

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.I would say only if it's in Shin's page. Anything else outside of it should stay spoiler-tagged.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Gotcha. Anyway, while I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Sonic Team will do justice to the series and it won't be a prelude to another Sonic 2006 situation, here's the main voice actors' comments on the project. One of the most interesting things I've discovered is that Yohei Azakami's character, Seijuro Kamiyama, will probably be fully voiced this time around.

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.man i really want to play the older sakura wars.
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaLuckily, the first four games were remade and ported to PC. Maybe if Shin Sakura Wars sells well, Sega might rerelease the older Sakura Wars games for the English market.
Of course, and like I said, Sega might also do 3D remakes of the first five games on the PS4 if sales go well.

Two things people have found about the old cast:
That's probably Sakura's Kobu in the back◊ and Sumire's name is apparently on the list in the background as the general manager.◊
