It's not that out there. There's one fic I follow that has an anime-style OP done for it, I've done a trailer for two forum RPs I'm in and one of my stories.

I'm also wondering whether to make it like an animation trailer or do it like Live Action with real actors, since I don't have the actors or the animation skills to do it. (Most of them are Original Character so taking clips from the game won't do.)

In an anime, I'll be the Tsundere Dark Magical Girl who likes purple MY own profile is actually HERE!Yeah I used clips from stuff that already existed. The original character problem is why I haven't done one for my main work.
So original characters CAN be portrayed in fanfiction trailers?
In an anime, I'll be the Tsundere Dark Magical Girl who likes purple MY own profile is actually HERE!It really depends. For one that I did, there were several original characters but they had the appearance of existing characters. In short, I cheated.
Okay, I've had this fanfiction that's been online for a few years and for its 6th year anniversary I want to create a short movie trailer, but I don't seem to have the software to make it. Think Fake Movie Real Trailer.
Has anyone heard of fanfiction trailers before? They're like movie trailers based of people's fanfiction. I want to know if it's a good idea and if it's been done before.
Idea based off this forum discussion: http://forum.gateworld.net/threads/15406-Fanfic-Trailers
