The bar sat on a lone asteroid, in some empty part of spce. A creaky sign hung from the door that read The Bar That Time Forgot. The bar was painted blue and made of wood but this, by no means, meant the bar was less durable than steel or concrete. On the contrary, the bar was indestructible, as it was a universal constant; out of every multiverse, this bar remained the only constant thing in between the different worlds. Inside the building, tending the bar, was a man with the head of a donkey. He was busy wiping glasses clean with a rag. Any attempt to converse with the donkey-headed man would not go well - as he was a mute. He too was a universal constant.

The bar was one story and tucked away into the corner of the bar was a table. This, in and of itself, wasn't out of the ordinary - after all, there were lots of tables in the bar. But this table was unique. The tabletop on it glowed. This was because it was not a tabletop - rather a portal - where forgotten people would be teleported to this bar. The donkey-headed man was lonely, so he would often teleport other lonely souls to give him company while he attended to his job. The portal could only be used by him, however, if he was asked nicely enough, he was known to teleport any item a bargoer required, if he felt they deserved it.

The donkey-headed man gazed at the tabletop portal. He had just sent for some people to give him company. He had a feeling it was going to be an interesting experience.

The first person to emerge out of the portal was a man wearing a white jacket, blue shirt, and blue jeans. He had brown hair and chocolate brown eyes, and also possessed a stubble. He was unconscious, his skin white as snow, and lungs unable to contract or expand. If the donkey-headed man knew anything about corpses, he'd be looking at one. Seems he pulled him just as he died...

That is until his skin's color returned. It became more normal. He breathed. Seemed the portal brought him back from the dead. He then got up.

"Wh-where am I? Where's Madoka? The Imperium? The- GAAAAAAH!" Nicholas then looked at the donkey-headed man, stumbling back. "OH FUCK I'M ON PARADISE ISLAND! THIS IS PINOCCHIO'S WORLD, ISN'T IT!?" Psyga asked the donkey-headed man.

In an unnamed city in England, Earth, where villains and heroes constantly fight on the streets, a young barmaid called Alice Sparrow was just finishing off her night shift. The 19 year old was quite pretty, with blonde hair and brown eyes and a short, slim build, but had battle wounds and scars everywhere. For she was an ex superhero. She had experienced her fair share of fights three years ago, but her injuries made her quit. She now worked in one of the many villain bars in the city as a barmaid on the night shift, when the place was at its quietest. As she picked up empty bottles and glasses, she saw a gentle blue glow in the corner of the bar. Curious, she slowly walked towards it and examined it. Before she knew it, she had been sucked into it and landed with a thump on the floor of a bar.

But this bar was different.

"What the..." If she had been carrying the tray of bottles and glasses, she would have dropped it. Instead, they had already been smashed as she landed on the floor. She examined herself for injuries and stood up. "Where am I?" she asked.

The next was a young man, with a scruffy beard, he looked like a cowboy wannabe aside from his steel arms, he looked at the Donkey, shrugged and took a swig of beer from the bottle in his hand, at the Weirdo's freak out, he turned, swinging the empty bottle at the man's head.

"Shut up."

Alice acted fast and blocked the bottle with her tray.

"No need to be so rude." She put her hands on her hips, using her "dealing with drunken villains" tone of voice.

Grumbling to herself, an extremely dark-skinned girl rose to her feet, looking around and frowning at the loss of her loot. Unfortunate... she was sure there'd been some nice rings in there that would have considerably helped her defences. It seemed she'd been teleported... somewhere. Somewhere with noisy people.

"Does anyone know where we are?" the girl asked, voice soft, rather liltingly accented... and with a pronounced lisp. That was the other reason the drow samurai rarely said her own name: she couldn't pronounce it.

"I know you weren't, but still. We don't want to start a fight..."

Alice began looking around. She noticed another girl was in the room, one with a soft voice. When did she arrive?

"I think we're in a place", stated another new arrival, who was rather more used to being rudely collared by transdimensional forces.

Beatrice Scaradei sat down in a nearby chair, crossed her legs, and folded her wings. "So, what are your names?"

Meanwhile back at his own world

Marek stood outside a natural made stone archway that his people called "The Other door". Normally walking through would do nothing but on some days, when the magical aura was in flux, the barriers of other worlds weakened and create a portal to travel to other dimensions. So as Marek stood outside, he watched the archway begin to shimmer and form cracks in the space inside. Ahh... a world is passing through, he thought before looking back at his home, taking a deep breath, and stepping through...

A few second later he came out of the table portal and landed on the ground disorientated and his vision blurry. As he got to his knees he could only see a few blurry shapes around him, "Where is this?", he said aloud as his sight returned to him. That was when he became shocked at the people in the bar. A man in strange attire with metal arms, a woman with pointed ears and strange skin, and another with wings. Quickly he jumped up and used his scarf to pull him up to the ceiling where he clung on to the rafters, "With apologies, can a dweller of this plane explain where I am?", Marek asked from the ceiling as he watched the group below him with curiosity and cautiousness.

There was another in the room. She popped up out of nowhere, seated near the bar with a tired expression on her face. It was because she stayed up all night working on her writing and Visual Novels, right? Because those would be released and make a hefty profit, right? No, not at all. In fact Type-Moon didn't do a single thing besides sleep through the entire morning. Now she ends up at a bar. Well these kinds of things did occasionally happen in the Hyperdimension but not really to her.

"Ugh." she looked and around the room. It was already certain that her colorful, bright appearance didn't really belong with the rag-tag group being gathered at the bar. "W-w-w...what in the hell is going on?"

"I think that someone is starting a bar fight", replied Bea. "If it gets any more heated, I may have to step in... forcefully."

"Well I wouldn't want to be involved in this "bar fight". It seems to be a savage activity.", Marek said turning to the winged girl.

He took a moment to look her over to see whether she was human like him or of Fae descent before continuing, "And you Wind Walker, what role do you have in this realm? Do you live here or are you an alchemist that has also pass through the door?"

"I am also unfamiliar with this place... and unless you mean 'door' metaphorically, I've passed through no such thing..."

Bea paused in thought, and then her eyes went wide.

"Just a moment. By 'realm', do you mean that I'm now in another world entirely?"

Marek cocked his head to the side, "Yes, I believe that this might be another world. I had thought that this might've been a sort of alchemist outpost.", he said as he crawled on the ceiling. As he spoke a thought occurred to him, Are there other worlds connected beyond my world.

"So you mean to say that your are not from here at all? Then how did you come to be in this…place?", Marek said waving his hand at the bar, "Did you not also walk through a portal?".

"So who are you? I gather that you came to this place intentionally, but you don't seem to know much more about it than me. My name's Beatrice, by the way."

Nicholas noticed the bottle heading to him. He then pulled out a curved knife, but stopped when the bottle was blocked.

"Th... Thank you..." Nicholas muttered. Then he said thank you loudly to Alice. Several more people appeared, asking "where am I?" "why am I here?", saving him from asking the same. He bit his lip. He somehow knew where he was... at least, he thought he knew...

Nicholas could see a girl with pink hair in a school uniform running towards a stadium. Suddenly, a building collapses and debris was about to fall on her.

"MADOKA! LOOK OUT!" Nicholas ran and pushed her out of the way. There was almost no time for him to get out of the way himself, and thus he was crushed.

Nicholas didn't wanna say it. Not yet. This world being Purgatory was an odd theory, one he doesn't really like.

Then someone asked for his name.

"N... Nicholas Santos." Nicholas said to Beatrice. He hesitated to say more. To say that he's part of the Imperium, a ragtag group of people from his world who banded up and toured the multiverse on a giant pyramid ship called the Ha'tak, but he wasn't sure. His group wasn't as famous as The Red Pirates or Dai-Shocker, and even then, they might not even know who those are.

"Did you not also walk through a portal?" One person asked. He then blurted it out.

"I died. That's how I got here. I think..." Nicholas said to Marek.

Lars tumbled out of the portal. "Argh, oof, grrr, Jesus what in the hell where-" he muttered as he rolled into a wall, and stood up once he had stopped rolling out of the portal. Then he had a look around. A short look.

There was a reason it was so short. In the split-second he had his eyes open, he had seen all sorts of crazy-looking stuff, including a guy with a donkey head. Now, he wasn't unfamiliar with weirdness, but it took about one second for him to realize it was obvious he was dreaming. So like he usually did in his dreams, we went up to the bar, and ordered up. "Boilermaker. Pabst," he called out as he turned his head to see what weirdness would go on next.

Alice was busy picking up the broken bits of glass from the floor, taking care not to cut herself. She placed the pieces on the tray and went over to the bar. Just like being at home... she thought to herself. Being no stranger to the strange, she just accepted that she had been sucked in by a portal and there was nothing she could do about it.

"I'm Myr," the elf said, drawing one of her blades and focusing on the rude man's drink, "Beast Realm Brute Sword."

The beer was bisected, its two parts changing into exotic, amber flowers drifting down to the counter. A strange effect, to be sure, especially as she appeared to have done no more than casually swing one of the now-sheathed blades.

Fuck. It's been blocked again.

Vasiliki stared at the Jorogumo. So it was driven off by something even worse. Khonsu couldn't identify that thing, which made matters worse. She clutched her aching arm and shuddered. She wondered whether the group could trust the monster, and whether Khonsu nepher hotep will leave her be. She took a step and fell.
And fell.
And fell.
Khonsuuuu! Any ideassss?! she screamed mentally.
I am as lost as you are, I am afraid, replied the god in her.

Someone hit the bar's floor with a thump, despite not being there the moment before. That someone got up. She was a young girl, of middling height and bust; she wore a green tunic — smeared with dirt and sporting three puncture marks at the left sleeve — a pair of jeans a shade darker than the tunic, which had leaves and small sticks stuck to them, and brown hiking shoes.
The things most people would've noticed about her, however, were her hands, which were shaped like a falcon's feet; her feet, which sported the triple claws of a raptor, and most certainly her head, which was that of a falcon. She looked around.
“First the end of the world, now this,” she muttered. “That's it. I'm probably a-dreamin'.”

"Well, then... who's responsible for this?"

Kiyomi had never even once entered a bar before. Regardless of the situation, bars were not a place she had ever once walked into. She wasn't old enough to drink alcohol, she didn't normally care about it, and most of the time bastard jerk magi or whatever didn't go fighting in bars. Obviously, she recognized a bar when she saw it, but she'd never actually been into one.

So, being quite rudely transported to some random bar with random people was a bit irritating for Kiyomi. Her temper, while it had flared up, was currently subdued. She was, however, naturally not going to just start blasting totally random people. She was, however, going to question what the hell was going on and who thought it was a good idea to randomly drag her out of her life and to this random bar full of random people.

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."
