Chaos has crept into Amber, the one true world. Corwin, former king in Amber, is dead. The world has fallen into war, a war in which the sons and daughters of Oberon must face the twin threats of each other's machinations and a slowly encroaching Courts of Chaos. Various other nobles and officials try and make their claim to the throne of Amber, and will try to kill anyone who stands in their way. A small alliance of peacemakers seeking to restore order is led by Benedict and Bleys, but they are but a small, if growing force. In addition, the Courts of Chaos have a secret weapon, a power that eats worlds, and will grow in might and terror until it threatens to unravel the very fabric of Amber.

The Short Version: will only really make sense if you read the books. Basically, an alternate version of what happens after the first 5 Amber Books by Roger Zelazny. Corwin dies before siring Merlin, and the lesser court of Amber tries to seize the opportunity. Benedict and Bleys want to find a just ruler to succeed Corwin, out of respect for the kingship of their brother. The Courts of Chaos have made a deal with a Cthulhu-esque entity locked inside the current Primal Pattern. It is capable of nullifying possibilities in such a way that shadow worlds can be made unreachable voids. As it gains power, it will try to do this to Amber as well.

If all this seems way overpowered, that's kind of the nature of this series. As master of ceremonies, I will do my best to keep the story interesting and involved, though.

Will create signup form soon, if there's interest. Basically, the character options are: Court of Amber (one of the sons or daughters of Oberon), Courts of Chaos, Minor Court of Amber (lesser noble trying to claim the throne), or member of the Renewal Covenant (Benedict and Bleys' alliance).
