So what's the deal with the yellow flowers in the garbage dump?

Also on the subject of Chara's grave.

I think it's implied that's where Chara fell?

I thought that too since that's where the flashback happens, but turns out they're said to have fallen in the ruins during the new home segment. So I guess the flowers at the dump are from Alphys hanging out there at lot.

The flashback in the pacifist ending shows Chara falling into the ruins.

Did really Sans dogde your atack? for the way the sprites move and his hability I feel he just "displace" the space between the knife and him.

He drank a gajillion sea teas.

He's using PSI Brainshock on himself, obviously.

I think it's a lot funnier and more fitting if he's just dodging out of the way, since that fight is about breaking the established game rules; no mercy invincibility, getting attacked in your menu, Sans refusing to make his move so you're forced to wait, and finally you dragging your own arena down to the fight command to kill him.

Re: Trash Zone flowers.

Well, Alphys visits the trash zone a lot. And in the True Lab, one of her notes mentions that the flower seeds have a nasty tendency to stick to you. So, most likely, the flowers in the trash zone are there because Alphys visits there a lot.

I dunno. I think Undyne mentions in a phone call that the flowers in the garbage dump just started growing there by themselves one day. Which struck me as incredibly suspicious, since they just happen to be growing in the exact spot you fall and nowhere else. That's the kind of thing that happens when you've got a time traveler around.

Except there's no way for that theory to make sense. My first thought was Flowey, a confirmed time traveler thematically linked to yellow flowers. Except he lost his ability to time travel when you arrived. And his words don't line up well with the possibility of having seen you before, gotten the ability to LOAD back after you died, and then gone back to change things; he acts like not being able to SAVE and LOAD is a novel thing. And nobody else has a demonstrated ability to time travel.

The patch of flowers in the Ruins is also pretty conveniently placed, but it makes perfect sense for Toriel to have put them there on purpose to save people. The dump... not so much.

You know with the hint in the True Lab, both in general and a specific note about the seeds sticking to Alphys. I'm wondering if these flowers weren't Flowey but seeds from the flowers from the True Lab that didn't get the same level of sentience

Yeah, I just think they grew there when a bunch of seeds that stuck to Alphys's lab coat fell into the water.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the flowers in the dump are a result of her getting seeds on her coat as she went to the trash dump. Why else mention that the seeds are so sticky?

Thanks! :D It was a challenge to make, tbh. I went through... three different FL Studio files before I decided on a tune? I think the toughest part was figuring out how to deal with the 5/4 portions of Alphys' theme, and which part of the theme to use as the intro vs the main melody.

I'm still debating what I wanna remix next. Kinda leaning toward Toriel's battle theme, using a Fallen Down + Heartache + Undertale medley. That, or doing a remix of the Ruins in a major key...

Just gotta figure out how to best alter the melody/instrumentation for that.
