Please be Banjo-Fourie!
It's not Banjo-Fourie, is it?

Your Honor...How can that be possible now that most of the "Nintendo" Rare became part of Free Radical, then Free Radical was bought out by Crytek and had half that team laid off?
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page. There's speculation going on that its going to be something from the NES days. Screwattack has a video talking about this.
I'm hoping for either Battletoads or Killer Instinct. They have the rights to Killer Instinct back, so it is entirely within the realm of possibility.
I'd love to see some kind of KI trilogy. Have all the characters in it. Possibly have a 3D and 2D mode. Some characters only showed up in one or the other, after all.
I haven't heard about Killer Instinct in a while. Better go dust off the SNES to get a refresher. I just remember that Fulgore is awesome and Chief Thunder says "Cool!" a lot when attacking.
Hope that whatever Rare does it's as good as the old Rareware games.
But that's a story for another time.To be fair, several characters died.
I have all 3 games. I still like that Fulgore is the face of two of them.
Although it does say "new", apparently, so it could be a new IP. I'd love a sequel to KI, but there's also things like Battletoads, and maybe a better Perfect Dark sequel.
Yeah, I know. A "Trilogy" ignores that for the sake of fun. It could even have a campaign mode like Mortal Kombat 9's.

I guess people are excited because the developer doing something with an old IP is pretty RARE.
Signatures are for lamers. There's only 2 games though. We need a third with all the characters plus maybe a few newbies, dead or not. The explanation? Cryotek recreated them and are using them as sleeper agents to kill the people who know about them imprisoning demons.
I mean imagine the charges Cryotek would face for imprisoning an evil demon in their basement, that's gotta be an OHS violation.

As I said, I own all 3 games. Gameboy, SNES, n64. Yes, the GB one counts. Albeit, it's pretty much a watered down port, but it has different characters, and controls... but eh.
Anyway, I wonder if we'll get a third Fulgore. I really hope they revive Riptor atleast. He was unique.
Wouldn't they need to do a Banjo-Threeie (or however it was spelled) first? I know Nuts & Bolts was a major release, but it's still basically a spin-off like Banjo-Pilot
Anyway, that's nice that they're getting another chance. Too bad it will probably fail regardless.
Killer Instinct powered by Kinect.
You do moves by flailing in front of it.
Yeah, Rare's rarely Rare anymore. Most of the major members are gone.
Kinect powered Ultra Combos. This is gonna be fantastic.
I doubt something good will come out of it.Microsoft bought Rare basically to rape it every night and making it forget its greatness of the Nintendo days...
Hey guys remember when it was a rare-made game that everyone was expecting to sell 360's on launch?
Rare didn't get raped at all, since nearly all of the "Nintendo" Rare went on to become Free Radical.

Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.I'm okay with Banjo and Kazooie finally being laid to rest. The humor was pretty good, but that last game was far too much of a good thing on that front. Being self-referential about a lackluster concept isn't enough to carry said concept through an entire game on its own.
Banking on nostalgia wasn't enough to move Nuts and Bolts either.

A little birdie told me a screenshot for a possible upcoming video game from Rare is going to be made for Xbox one. Sources say its an historic IP they are doing. One of my friends thinks its going to be a new Wizards and Warriors game.
