That nobody cared about and I remember with some level of disgust based on the political incorrectness.

Why couldn't it have been Blood? Caleb was a much more interesting guy than either Duke or Lo Wang.

A new Shadow Warrior sounds pretty appealing. After all, it's a much better than Duke Nukem 3D. While it never really bothered me, I'd be fine if it's less... stereotypical. Let's be honest, the entire style was stupid and horribly juvenile (just like Duke Nukem 3D) and most importantly, it wasn't what made SW good. I'm also fine with a redesign of the character (it's actually mentioned in the comments that they make Lo Wang younger) and don't understand why anybody would raging about it (I mean, it's a FPS, it's not like you are going to see him a lot).

No, what made the game good was the actual gameplay, which one can only hope will be retained as well as possible. Which brings me to an obvious question: Are the developers actually up to it? Looking at their former games, I fear that they will make it like Serious Sam. Something I really don't approve.

All in all, I'm looking forward to ROTT more (and even with that, I'm skeptical).

I've never played the first SW, so... since I know nothing about its gameplay, why would making it like SS be a bad thing?

I actually never heard anybody say Shadow Warrior was better than Duke 3D. I always figured everybody thought the opposite. See, besides the racism, what I hated about SW was that the enemies were just too damn powerful. It had that issue a lot of Build engine games did where most of them could take out all your health with a couple of hits, only multiplied about fivefold.

I won't deny the weapons weren't cool, though. Especially the sticky bombs.

Well, this is the first time I've ever heard fans complain that sexist/racist humor is gone from a game. When Duke Nukem Forever had all these sexist jokes, everyone hated it. SW takes it out, everyone hates it. What happens now?

Yes, because halfassed Asian stereotypes and chauvinism are totally gonna make a game better.

It's not some Modern Military shooter with a coat of oriental paint. They're kickin' it oldschool.

DNF had MUCH more wrong to it than that.

Maybe we should not be such little sensitive pansies? Shadow Warrior would have been another Doom Clone if not for the crude humor. At least it helped it stand out. The crude humor was the point.

And they said the same thing about DNF and it ended up being a crappy Halo Clone.

Yes, complain about They Changed It, Now It Sucks! and then call everyone else too sensitive.

You didn't even care about the game until you found out it was neutered due to being afraid of hurting someone's feelings. So what do you care?

Sorry. I'm just kind of frustrated how overtly sensitive the video game industry has become lately. (Like the whole Dragon's Crown fiasco)

No, but the original Shadow Warrior would have been swept away the sea of Doom Clones if it didn't have that to stand out of the crowd with it.

I thought the sword was what set Shadow Warrior apart.
