Currently the image has a watermark, which from my understanding does not go. However, the image still fits. One should find the source for the image, and laws permitting, use a non-watermarked version.

I think it's a photo from a museum. There are many sources online, but I think this is the best one. [1]

Good, but a little dark. We're reducing the size of the image. The current image is a little brighter than that.

There were versions with many different saturations. See here. It depends on who is taking the picture, but I think the current is too bright and washed out. 2 looks a little dark, but there's nothing wrong with that.

The problem is that if it's too dark, it might not be as obvious that the picture is depicting a skeleton painting.

I love Photoshop. This is 2 resized to 325 and auto-brightented.

I made the swap since it's basically a quality upgrade. New image looks much better.
