I'm interested, but is this taking place in the movie, or the book timeline? (It's not really that important, but I'd just like to know what you're basing your ideas on.)

rough draft for my character

Name: LT. David Ridge.
appearance: Looks like your average 25 year old, about 5'7", has a goatee, his hair is a light brunette. The only thing that really stands out about him is a scar on his left cheek.
personality: David is a serious guy, and is use to people following his orders. He is normally very friendly to people, but doesn't enjoy being talked back to.
Skills: First-aid, leadership skills, very accurate.
equipment: a Standard Glock (police can carry guns onto planes as long as they have all their paperwork filled out before hand.), his badge,
bio: David was a fairly normal man of 25, he wasn't married, nor did he have any kids. He's a police lieutenant, and is highly respected at his work. He's also going back to school to study medicine, and forensics in hopes of getting a job at the crime lab.
