Was that by David Lynch or by the guy who did Donnie Darko?

Lynch. I've still got to watch this and Straight Story. I saw the first hour of it months ago, but I was so tired I realised I'd probably fall asleep watching it if I didn't go to bed.

Am I a good man or a bad man?

I'm a massive David Lynch fan but even I found my limit trying to sit through it.

Worth a second look?

I saw it years ago during a film festival... people left the cinema claiming it was brilliant, I left the cinema utterly confused because after the first hour or so the movie stopped making any sense.

it's worth a second look. i'd say it is probably his most cryptic movie. there is, i believe, a definite logic in the story but it's not easy to decipher. i don't have a problem with it remaining heavily mysterious. i found it engaging and for the most part terrifying. it's simply like being in a nightmare and the ending is just glorious.
