Astromech droid extraordinaire, R3-BP, was present for Senator Bail Organa's transmission. It fired off a stream of beeps which occasionally had a boop thrown in, confirming it was ready to receive the Senator's instructions.
Ria raised her hand to indicate that she was there and listening.
"Here." Twig said simply, idly adjusting his voice modulator.
"The literal meaning of life is whatever you're doing that prevents you from killing yourself." Albert Camus"Present, sir." Arcil Terrek had left the ship on autopilot to view this important briefing.
Grimgrim the Wookiee, the leader of The Hunters, gave an affirmitive grunt. Seeing that most were assembled, Bail cleared his throat.
"I don't know if this line is being watched by the Imperials or not so I'll be brief. As you all are aware, your destination is Naboo. The Quarren Senator, Tundra Dowmeia has been arrested by the Emperor for his strong criticism of the Empire. He is being held on Naboo, in a lake house, under carfeul guard. I have given the coordinates of the lake house to the astromech droid. Your goal is to rescue him and bring him back to Alderaan. Good luck and May the Force be with you. If you have any questions, ask Grimgrim. He has been briefed extensively" Bail monologued before the viewscreen went black.
Beepy made a few beeps and boops to confirm it had received the coordinates.
Vrill nodded,
"I hope we don't meet any Gungans.
Good to be backArcil stood up. "Well then, I should go monitor the subspace frequencies, make sure we're not gonna come out of hyperspace in the middle of an Imperial patrol. I'll be at the helm if anyone needs me."
The Everlasting Star was a cozy little ship with a cargo area, cockpit, and "rec zone" as Grimgrim liked to call it. The rec zone was where they were all right now. Grimgrim was seated at one of the tables in the rec room. The viewscreen that Bail had just spoken from could also be used to play hologames. There was a dartboard as well. There was also some equipment that The Hunters could grab if they so desired; two grey backpacks with the Rebellion symbol emblazoned on them, a fusioncutter, some ration bars, and a DL-44 blaster.
"Now, this "lake house" that Tundra is being kept in isn't so much a lake house as it is a sea house." the Wookiee explained to the remaining squaddies that were gathered in the Everlasting Star.
"There are a number of small islands in the middle of the Rindar Sea in Naboo. The larger of these islands is the apporiately named Deathcliff Island. Deathcliff Island is very rocky with large cliffs overlooking the sea. Seated on one of the cliffs is the mansion where Senator Dowmeia is being held. We sent a recon droid there to scout out the territory and it appears that the house is normally guarded by four to six Imperial troops. There is a small seaside village on Deathcliff Island as well. The village is neutral but it is occupied by an Imperial base. So once we infiltrate the house, expect Imperial reninforcements to arrive. There's also another island a few kilometers south that contains a TIE fighter base so an airstrike is also a possibility if we take too long." Grimgrim explained. Sorry for the long post but I wanted all information out there before I went to bed.
Ria looked at the Wookie and asked 'Are there any spots for a sniper to set up shop and cover the house?'
Vrill looked at her,
"Let's try stealth first. W Here's the unmarked 'trooper suit?"
Good to be backR3-BP made some whirring noises after it heard what the Wookiee had said.
"What trooper suit?" Grimgrim asked the Mandalorian.
"Not really. There are a few rocks and trees near the house but I doubt a sniper could do much good here. Most of Dowmeia's guards patrol the inside of the mansion. However, if they were to call in reniforcements, then you'd be at the perfect spot to kill some stormies, seeing as they'd have to climb up the cliff to get us." the Wook told Ria.
Just a quick post before my exam.
"Hmm," Twig ponders thoughtfully. "I'm a medic not a strategist, but maybe Ria, Brin and R3 should sneak in and rescue Dowemia, while the rest of us stirs up some trouble as a distraction at the village. Wait, Grimgrim, how big is the TIE-Fighter airbase? Maybe we can try for a feint by hitting them there."
"Or, maybe we can bring in the Star close, grab the senator and get away before the troopers reinforcements arrive?"

"The literal meaning of life is whatever you're doing that prevents you from killing yourself." Albert CamusOverhearing the discussion about the enemy fighters, Arcil turned around and spoke. "I should be able to fend off any TI Es with this thing's missiles and forward laser cannons, but anyone manning the turrets will increase our odds against them."
So I got to leave school early after my exam so here's another main post for all of you.
Grimgrim nodded at Twig's suggestions.
"Either one of those options could work, I suppose. However, if we split up our forces and started something at the village, we'd distract their reinforcements but it'd be Brin, Ria, and Beepy against an Imperial squad once they get inside. Not impossible but not great odds for us. Not to mention, that a lot of the villagers could be killed." Grimgrim said.
"Now with the coordinates that we have, the Star will be approaching the mansion from the direction of the sea. Unfortunately, the house does have two beam cannon turrets" that face the sea. Which means if we decide to fly in and land there, we'll be facing some turret fire. Our shields should protect us but if they order a TIE strike on us before we can land, we're done for. However, once we did land, it'd be pretty easy to take the house with the numbers that we have." Grimgrim explained.
"Arcil!" Grimgrim called. "How long till we reach Naboo?" Then the Wookiee turned to face the viewscreen that was in the rec room.
"Before we land, you might want to see a picture of the house that our recon droid captured." he said, before clicking a button on the viewscreen that revealed the cliffs to look like this with the house on the cliffs looking like this.
Vrill blinked,
"Don't we have that spare storm trooper suit?...I thought we had it. Dammit! Did I forget to pack!?"
Q With a groan, he walked back to where the others were
Good to be back"We should come out of hyperspace in a few minutes. I'm going to try to fake a civilian trade route for the first leg on the way in, but I can't guarantee it'll be a smooth ride as we get closer."
"Ahhh!" A small, furry alien came flying through the doorway connecting the Everlasting Starr's rec zone with the cargo bays, landing near Beepy. It rose and dusted itself, revealing itself to be a humanoid with bat-like features wearing bits and pieces of various Alliance technician uniform.
"Ow," said Teenee T'avok, the team's engineer. "Must remember not to tinker with those springs next time." He looked around at the team's concentrated face. "Oh, I missed something?"
Twig said, unintentionally rather patronizingly, "Not much, my furry little friend. Senator Bail Organa briefed us on our mission- a fairly standard smash-n-grab rescue of one Senator Dowmeia. Manor on a hill, small complement of stormtroopers."
Twig waves a hand in the cockpit's general direction.
"Best hold on to something, our pilot's anticipate a bumpy approach."
"The literal meaning of life is whatever you're doing that prevents you from killing yourself." Albert CamusR3-BP made several beeps and whirrs as it moved around looking at the short furry alien that had just arrived. It wasn't tall like everyone else.
"Oh, frell, I missed another briefing?" muttered Teenee. "Oh well. I'd better get my gear. Um... Beepy, is there anything else I need to know?"
Sitting down on his chair, which was small enough for him to fit snugly in its harness, he buckled himself in and looked expectedly at the astromech.
"Oh, Beepy, that reminds me!" Grimgrim exclaimed, pulling out a mechanical device.
"The techies at base finally fixed your vocabulator. Here you go little guy." said the Wook as he attached the vocabulator.
A few minutes later, the Everlasting Star came out of hyperspace where the crew would see the beautiful planet of Naboo. A lone Star Destroyer orbited the planet.
"This is the Star Destroyer 'Apocalypse.' By order of the Empire, we demand to know what your ship is carrying and its purpose on Naboo." blared an Imperial officer on the Everlasting Star's comlink channel.

Well, time to spin the prepared cover story.
"This is civilian freighter Everlasting Star, carrying foodstuffs and trading goods to spaceport." There, just like flying with his father when he was a boy, Arcil remembered. Only back then, it really was foodstuffs and trading goods on board.
The YT-1300 freighter, The Everlasting Star, flew through the infinite vastness of space in hyperspace. If one were to look inside, they would assume, at first glance, that the crew was a motely collection of individuals. However, these people were, unbeknownst to the Empire, some of the deadliest threats to Emperor Palpatine.
A viewscreen on the ship flickered on and Bail Organa, the Senator and Rebel leader of Alderaan, appeared on it.
"This is Senator Organa to The Hunters." he said.
"Is everyone present and accounted for? If so, I'll begin the mission briefing."
