I will once again remind you who dethroned the former "Worst Anime Parent Ever," who was a man who had his wife eaten by Cyborg Cthulhu so his son could be traumatized into fighting Non-Cyborg Cthulhus.

At least HE was fighting against evil world-destroying abominations, as opposed to damn near handing them their victory on a silver platter.

Well to be fair, his wife wanted to be eaten.

Also, as emotionally abusive as he was, he didn't molest or rape his child.

... Seriously, the "Purification Ritual" was really, really upsetting to me.

It's so satisfying to see Satsuki spear the shit out of her.

It seems really odd that it appears Satsuki was the only one who got any of it,

I have to say, I was really shocked when Ryuko wanted to reconcile with her. That girl really has a heart of gold.

It bears mentioning that Gendo wanted to become his own kind of omnipotent elder abomination. In tandem with Yui, but still. I'm also quite sure he would have molested Shinji if he had thought it'd help his goals, although to be fair that still places him above Ragyo, who does it because she wants to, not because it's necessary.

Well, Ragyo was beaten and disarmed, and every single one of her warped (heh) plots (heh) was unravelled (heh) before her very eyes.

Killing her then would have been an act of cold blood. Heroes don't do that.

Depends on what heroes you're talking about.

And ya know, what happens, Blood Is Thicker.

It's how even Ragyo was shocked by such a question; hmm, from the way Satsuki was in the OVA you think she would have relented like Ryuko?

I'm not sure. Plus, Ryuko wasn't molested for years by Ragyo so there's that to consider.

On another note. This mash-up took too long to happen:

Raiden + Shadow = Ryuko :V

This brought great joy to my ears.

so i'm super late but i just finished watching the ova.

i'm kinda surprised at how much i liked this. it fixed a couple of the problems i had with series (hooumaru actually has a backstory and isn't completely pointless, ryuuko and satsuki showing visible growth and character development, etc) and actually made me have feels somewhat.

perfect epilogue to a decent show.

I have now seen the ova.

pack up the anime genre, I don't think it ca be topped now.

I wouldn't say that the anime genre should pack up but Trigger has shown that they can go beyond the impossible.

anime isn't a genre. trigger made a good show, but they can do even better next time.

Raw raw etc. etc.

There's. no. intermission cue. that's. quite. this. awesome.

I like that one because it reminds me of Danny Phantom.

I can`t wait to see what they do next.

ill give three complaints I had with the ova, to keep balance with myself:
