Thank you.
It went up at midnight.
After six hours, it's currently one of the top ten lowest rated submissions in the site's history. Almost all the reviews have been intensely negative.
I'm not surprised, as my writing in general tends to be pretty Love It or Hate It. I'll see how it fares as the day goes on.

I found it here. In my humble opinion all those negative reviewers can shove it.
BTW, this actually inspired me to write a "horror" story of my own. It's actually told from the monster's point of view and isn't really meant to be scary as such, but I wanted to give credit to the initial spark. May I post this story somewhere in this forum? It's only about a thousand words long.

My DeviantArt Domain My TumblrJust start a thread for it.
And I make a policy of never ignoring bad reviews completely because that's the first step to becoming a Small Name, Big Ego case. The only ones that piss me off are the ones that suggest that I got off on writing the gory parts, because it implies that I'm the same as the main character and the story was some kind of Wish-Fulfillment.
However, I am paying attention to the ones that said it was sloppy storytelling, because that could be a legitimate complaint.
