"End Layer" sounds familiar though. Was that a place or something mentioned in the first game?
It could refer to the last of the parallel wolds.
Or the bonus dungeon.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Had a really bad yet awesome sounding idea about the subtitle.
What if it was Befri END pLAYER and the climax turns into a fourth wall smashing battle that you can somehow take part in....
How dull. Player should be the villain, if anything.
The subtitle might change for the English release, too.
And I do hope that they did something clever with the subtitle like they did with Flying Fairy/Where the Fairy Flies.
Bonus dungeon was called Dimension's Hasp, though.
I have a message from another time...Been busy with other things, so only just now hitting Alternis at the end of Chapter 4.
Going to try and cheese this rather than actually dealing with a prolonged battle against Minus Strike (also I don't have my BP engine ready yet, or a Templar, Merchant or Time Mage for their abilities).
Going to start by defaulting for 4 turns, with Agnes using the 4th to Brave once, Healing-Lore boosted Curada the party back to full health and use Lightning Bane. Then, four Bravely Seconds for four level three specials, 50% power and Lightning element. Everyone braves 3 times and uses Thundaga to hopefully finish him off.
Cheap, but will hopefully work if my specials do enough damage. Only issue is, I can't be sure that they will since I'm relying on Bravely Second to breach the cap. He's got 135k health, I think, so I'm really needing to do about 100k between the specials and hope for cap damage with the Thundagas.
EDIT: Thundagas? Didn't need 'em! I had Ringabel use a level 2 special for the Crit Rate boost, but was hit when I saw it only did 6k damage, even with a weakness (I was sure I set it up right...). Didn't know the damage difference between the two was that great! Oh well, Edea did a whopping 76k from her level 3 special, and that was as a level 13 Freelancer with a Blood Blade! Tiz managed 36k and Agnes about 12k. Four of Agnes's regular attacks, only doing about 1k each, were enough to end it.

My name is Addy. Please call me that instead of my username.Recently, I've been in Godspeed Strike spam mode. Obviously impractical for a first playthrough as it requires freelancer maxed and thief pretty high, and is otherwise not super practical without a performer with Hasten World, but with Hermes Sandals and a weapon that triggers vulnerability, you can pretty reliably deal really high damage values without ever having to worry about physical attack or physical defense at all.
Something I've been wondering:
In the airship, you can go to auto-pilot. Many of the autopilot locations have "battle" beside them. What does that mean? I can't understand why it's there, and if there's a way to use it to trigger a battle, I've had no success doing so.
My name is Addy. Please call me that instead of my username.I just realized ...Tiz and Edea might get new Special Attack themes if that is still a thing in this game. Wonder what they'd be if it isn't just the old ones redone by the new composer...?

"battle" just means the location contains random battles.
Is Godspeed Strike a good fit for dual-welding Falcon Knives?
I have a message from another time...Godspeed Strike + Mimic is an okayish way to deal 9999 damage four times in a row, as long as you have the requisite +2 BP to not go beneath -4. The trick here is not wielding Falcon Knives (though I guess that works), but rather making sure that the weapon you yield triggers weakness.
The Ripper is the easiest way to do this against humanoid enemies.
Clear magazine screenshots for those who haven't seen them.
Is that how they dress all their patients/test subjects?

Umbran Climax◊His bed head has evolved into an emover.
Also, well, that ends my "we haven't seen what he looks like now, so maybe he's Emperor Oblivion" hypothesis.
I have a message from another time...Ringabel survived falling off of the ship and even falling into lava, according to D's Journal.
There's no reason to believe the other Alternis...es wouldn't be the same.
Those events were between the third and forth crystal. That being said, you have a point; no reason to assume world 1 Alternis would die just because he moved off-screen.
Okay, so I'm in world 2 just now, and know that in chapter 7, the bosses have awesome stealable equipment. For this, I'll want a thief in my team - what is a good way to include one?
Edea is a BP engine, Freelancer/Performer. Agnes is a healer, Salvemaker/White Mage (she can also hit the damage cap with Shadowflare after a Dark Bane, and does 7500 damage even without the Bane if I have Attack Item Amp up). Tiz's role is open at the moment, with Ringabel to be the thief. Any ideas on a secondary/primary, and what Tiz could do? At the moment he's Pirate/Swordmaster using Free Lunch for damage cap free Amped Strikes.
My name is Addy. Please call me that instead of my username.Maybe Ringabel can be a Ninja/Thief, to take advantage of Ninja's extremely high speed, and dual-wieldng ability. You can then dual-wield Falcon Knives to amp up your speed as much as possible, for extremely strong Godspeed Strikes.
Alternatively, Thief/Merchant gives you some nice secondary abilities. Low Leverage is godly when combined with a BP Engine and Salve-Maker healer.
For Tiz?
Well, you can't go wrong with Dark Knight. I use a Dark Knight/Spiritmaster, myself.
Oh, and if you want to get even more power out of your Salve-Maker, try dipping into Templar, for Item Critical.

I have a message from another time...Thanks very much, some great suggestions there!
Merchant is a good shout actually, I'd been thinking that I could do with Low Leverage; if I can go well beyond the damage cap without it, hopefully I can come close to the cap even with it, while still benefiting from the halved enemy damage. It would also give more reason to add Item Critical to the Salvemaker, which isn't really needed without LL since she's doing 7500 without a weakness at the moment. Healing Lore boosted healing and Resurrect mean two turns for instant full party damage cap healing, which I love about the class. Plus the buffing, of course.
Dark Knight is definitely one I could use for Tiz, perhaps with Vampire or, as you say, Spiritmaster.
My name is Addy. Please call me that instead of my username. Also remember that with Low Leverage, Rage shenanigans get even more insane.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Even better: items are one of the few things not effected by Low Leverage, as far as I've been able to discern.

I have a message from another time...Yeah, anything that does a fixed amount of damage or healing isn't affected by Low Leverage (or Full Leverage, but who uses that?)
I sometimes like to do Full Leverage, two actions, and then re-apply Low Leverage.
I have a message from another time...
Yep, errybody dies horribly. SPOILERED FOREVAR.
