You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!
In the chinese trailer Po appears to be visiting some form of afterlife to do his training. Presumably that's where he comes across Oogway.

Either the afterlife or dream sequence. The fact that Po's dressed like he was in the beginning of the first film makes me think the latter.
Of course, it could be both.

3. His spirit helps one of the characters in the present day, while they're awake.

i thought kfp and kfp2 were both great movies, so i don't see much reason to think this will be much worse.
I meant financially. KFP 2 underperformed (Which infuriates me despite not really liking that movie). Regardless of how I end up feeling about this movie I hope its a hit.

IT DID NOT UNDERPERFORM! I am so sick of people saying that.
It didn't do that great in the States sure, but the rest of the world matters too. Overseas, it was a massive hit, especially in China. And it's still the highest-grossing film directed by a woman as far as I'm aware.

Regardless, I have very little doubt that KFP3 will be successful, if not in the US, then certainly in China. It might even do a bit better here too, what with all the cute widdle pandas bringing in the kids.
