Hey there. Been meaning to post this for a while now, but I've been curious to see if there's any tropers who are aware of The Brian & Jill Show and what they thought of it.
For anyone not aware, it's a podcast hosted by Brian Phelps & Jill Whelan done in the style of morning talk radio. They discuss recent news, various news and magazine articles, talk with guests, play the occasional sketch, and every episode ends with a rousing round of the quiz game No Apparent Reason.
It's spin-off-slash-spiritual successor of Brian's original show, the Mark & Brian Radio Program, which he co-hosted for 25 years until his co-host Mark Thompson opted to retire. (For any M&B fans curious, Mark's got a podcast of his own, a romance hotline show called Mark & Lynda)
Jill Whelan, best known as Vicki Stubing on The Love Boat, is Brian's Platonic Life Partner, a longtime friend and "Comedy Soul Mate" originally slated to replace Mark upon his retirement until that deal fell through, prompting Brian & Jill to take the podcast route.
They've been going since September 2012 and, to me at least, has hit its stride quite nicely.
